  1. Zylstra is a pretty big loss too, but they seemed to have found another gem in Bryant Mitchell.
  2. he went 26/40 for 390 yards, 2 tds 0 ints in the WSF last year. He was not the reason we lost by 1 point.
  3. that game was just a combination of one team showing up while the other didn't. Hats off to the riders for doing what they needed to do, but the jury is still out whether they can beat a western team on the road, next up in 2 weeks they play the esks at common wealth. Biggest take away I got from the game was Jennings not being ready to play. Perhaps ideally if Lulay didn't get hurt last week, they would have given Jennings more time before returning but last night he looked bad. It's absolutely no wonder Gainey had so many picks when the opposing QB is trying to force the ball down field every throw. could literally sit back and jump the route all night long. Its funny how so far this season the talk has been can the riders leapfrog the bombers for 4th. it may end up being a battle between sask and bc for 4th - which is surprising as I picked the lions to be 1st this year
  4. alright 2 more lions TDs and lions can win the series
  5. welp it's official... the riders cheerleaders are about as ugly as BC's playing tonight
  6. the way I see it, we have 2 more games against the lions (both at IGF) that is when we will leap frog them by taking the series 2-1. For tonight putting ourselves 6 points up on the riders is more important to ensuring we get no worse then 4th in the west. Lots of football left in the season but the deeper the riders hole the better imo
  7. same as last week, bombers put themselves in a good position regardless of who wins tonight. Damn it feels good that we don`t have to rely on others mistakes to benefit our own destiny. And like last week I hope the lions embarrass the sweet piss out of the riders and sends their fans into an even deeper bout of depression as their season swirls in the toilet
  8. there was a play Thomas made a tackle near the sideline tracking down Gable (i believe) that's the kind of hustle that is deceptive with him, and usually stuff you see from a DE who is likely a lot fast and lighter
  9. yep agree, it sends a message to the rest of the team that this guy is willing to go all out for you, even when he "doesn't have to". When your playing with a guy like that it has a ripple effect and makes the other want to do the same for him
  10. I think the first instrument i ever owned was a drum kit but i got no rhythm so i quickly traded it for a guitar and amp (which bigg jay ended up selling on me for beer or weed money when we were kids... ) but I love watching drum vids on youtube. there is one korean chick named A-Yeon that sometimes plays drums in lingerie... i could watch her all day then there's this girl Brooke C. I think she's 14 in this video (17 now) she does a lot of metal/hard rock covers but she's pretty good, wouldn't be surprised to see her in a famous band someday
  11. I think it's hidden behind the high tom. You can see a stand under it, but the tom is attached to the bass drum
  12. Love him or hate him as a coach, but the guys just an awesome person.
  13. Should also give some props to Carmichael, didn't see him get burnt too much, if at all last night, and after being pretty hard on him the first 5 games, seems like he's starting to adjust/grow to the CFL game the last 2 games. Seemed like if anyone was being picked on last night it was Heath
  14. IMO Nichols actually was on point with his 50/50 tosses for the most part last night (with the exception of the toss to lankford in the endzone...maybe twice?) but have to give credit to Richard Leonard (hammy's DB) for making some nice defensive plays. he was a big part of the other 50 side of the equation and why the passes were not complete
  15. so it was Wally that MF'er. I'm glad he settled for andrew Jones
  16. the last 2 were pretty much against a team that checked out. Tho Adams TD with Unamba grabbing him was still nice grab. But it was looking like 1:6 for 53 mins of the game
  17. stilla ways to go for Nichols, but he hasn't missed a beat since becoming our full time starter. There was a play tonight where he looked like he was going to get sacked by an open rusher and he improvised with a quick hitter to i think it was Harris. That kind of stuff is what the elite do, if he can do that a little more often when pressure comes he'd have my vote for elite
  18. my only complaint is I'd like to see some better production when we get the opposing 30. Yeah we have $Medlock$ but I'd really prefer he doesn't have to kick 6 fgs a game. But I'm pleased with the win. Convincing none the less and a game we should have and did win. Makes me a little sad that if we don't blow that 2 score lead with the Lions we'd be 6-1 right now. but 5-2 baby! 3 in a row! beat up esks up next then montreal. If we head into the LDC 7-2 sky is the limit
  19. IMO Thomas has to be a serious candidate for our DPOY atm and he's a rotational guy. my 3 stars; 1. Medlock: 18 point off his foot and a 57 yarder. 2. Thomas: beast mode tonight 3. Harris: Guy never quits and his runs tonight looked smooth. Crappy fumble but it was still recovered by the bombers so crisis averted. HH: Adams, Denmark, JFG, Fogg
  20. i guess.. but that seems a bit mild compared to
  21. Saw the Dark Tower this afternoon at silver city, and thought I saw someone in the first row checking out MBB on their phone (there was only like 6 of us in the whole theater). Overall not a bad movie, but nothing spectacular. Idris Elba does a solid job in his role, almost enough to compensate for McConaughey's rather lame offer. I do like McConaughey as an actor for the most part, but his sarcastic wit that maybe works better in his "based on true story" roles doesn't work for me that much here. Because it's a Stephen King novel turned movie, I'm guessing this may be a one and done franchise, but at least they potentially left the door open for some more
  22. I don't know all the wheelings and dealing but I would hope after Vince passed WWE would be Shane's. He's the rightful heir (7 years Steph's senior) and IMO has most, if not all the stuff you would want. Born into the business, has put his body on the line for it, has escaped from it to get some valuable life/business lessons beyond the company, and is generally well perceived. I no doubt think Steph will get her stake in the company on some level, but I just feel Shane should get the keys to the empire. If he didn't want it, THEN give it steph and trips
  23. looks like Lulay is out and Jennings in for sundays tilt between the lions and riders. The bigger news however is Burnham may be out with a foot injury http://www.tsn.ca/radio/vancouver-1040-i-1410/burnham-still-recovering-from-practice-injury-1.828172 I guess its a good thing Williams is healthy again, guess they will just run what they did earlier in the early with Williams in for Burnham this time but that['s still a pretty big loss if he's out.
  24. still having trouble with linking tweets, anyways Ticats depth chart is out there, looks like Laurent is playing, and Emanuel Davis also returns in the ticats secondary
  25. That was the biggest flaw I saw in his game yesterday, despite Nadal have only like 2 or 3 aces, he (shapovalov) had absolutely no answer for Nadal's serve unless it was Nadal F'n up. seemed like every serve he was backhanding the ball back out of bounds. If he can get that under wraps I think he'll be a pretty damn good player
