Any word on who is going to be starting in place of Weston Dresslor? Is this how Flanders finally gets back into the lineup? -

The problem with Gaitor is that he’s a spectator even when he’s starting in the secondary -
Duron Carter Kicked Off The Farm

Not wrong. Matty has to play better or we won't be able to compete with Calgary or Edmonton in the playoffs. But that's not a position we can address. Streveler needs to sit back and learn for a couple years before challenging Matty. He just needs to do whatever he needs to do to get back to where he was at last season. -

Winnipeg should consider signing him. Our receiving core lacks the depth of talent that other top tier teams have and talent wise he's still one of the top guys in the CFL if he plays receiver on a regular basis. Or maybe we should just wait for Montreal to cut Jackson. -
Odds and Sods - BC Lions at Winnipeg Blue Bombers
Colin Unger replied to do or die's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
It’s just that nothing else has changed and the offensive line appears to be more dominant than past year and Bond couldn’t open up a hole for CJ if his life depended on it. This after getting cut from a weak offensive line in Regina. -

I’m curious if there are still people out there who think that Pat Neufeld is s major downgrade from Travis Bond? I share people’s concern over potential injury problems for Patty but I’m not convinced he isn’t an upgrade over Bond when healthy. -
I said that before I relealised that Gale had been moved to the practice roster. At this point nothing would surprise me. He could start or he could end up being put on the one game injury list with Gale being activated. I think a lot will depend on the week of practice. I can’t see them dressing him without being comfortable putting him into the game. Otherwise we’d be better of with Gale.

So this pretty much guarantees he will be back by week 5??

Do The Lions Eat Us Up Saturday Night?

Hamilton might be the best team in the CFL right now. You need a starting qb who’s capable of going toe to toe with Masoli to beat them. I don’t see BC as being at all in the class. Should at the very least be a close game if not a convincing bombers win even without Nichols. -
Weston Dressler - Is he stil relevant?
Colin Unger replied to B-F-F-C's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Salary this year won’t be an issue if Streveler keeps this up. I see Nichols being held out for the full 6 games as long as Streveler is winning games. This of coarse will save a load of cap space. -

Not sure I would hold the second pick against him all that much either. It was on a two point convert. And interception is no worse than an incompletion or sack in that situation. That’s the time you through one up and hope for the best if you’re under pressure or not seeing anybody open. -

Any time a college qb starts game one and throws 3 touchdowns you have to give the offensive coordinator a lot of the credit. I just didn’t like the play calling on that final drive. Streveler needed to act like a real quarback and throw the ball downfield or else Edmonton would have kept loading the box like they did early in the game. -

I like how we were pretty aggressive with Streveler however with a minute twenty on the clock after a poor kickoff return there's no excuse for not keeping the ball on the ground and keeping the clock running. That 2 and 0 killed us there. You run on first and run a draw play on second. If you make a big play then you go more aggressive. You don't leave Edmonton the maximum amount of clock there. -
Personally I'd like to see us put Fenner at halfback once Mo is back. It was very evident that Gaitor doesn't have the height/vertical out there and at least Fenner is 6'1... That game made we wish we had kept Saisay around.

Will Streveler Be Our James Franklin?

Some how Alex Ross still managed to heavily contribute to the loss.
