  1. I like Morrisey better too. He pretty much at the same level but with durability.
  2. He sounds like somebody who doesn't understand the CFL
  3. I don't think he's worth that. Players who are on the open market get overpaid. Scheifs would have got more on the open market too. There's a reason there is restricted free-agency until they earn being a UFA.
  4. As you can see here. The receiver is already turned back to the ball and had been slowing down and Clarke was still 3 yards behind him. Check out the 3:15 mark here.. https://www.bluebombers.com/2018/06/02/highlights-edm-13-wpg-33/
  5. I would imagine that Clarke's game wasn't as flashy as it sounds. The two key points were an interception and a knockdown. Wasn't the interception a deflection play and not the result of him necessarily having great coverage on his guy? And I believe the knockdown was that play in the endzone where the DB was cleanly beaten but the quarterback underthrew the pass so it banged off the DB's back. Am i getting this right?
  6. From what I could tell on the knockdown he was badly beaten but the ball was so underthrown that he was able to get back there and the ball kind of just hit him from behind.
  7. Based on the Mike O'Shea interview from today on the official site it sounded like Bennett was going to get into the game this week to show what he's got. Ross really needs to perform in however many reps he gets in this game. To me there's only one open job left on the depth chart and will go to either Ross or Bennett.
  8. I’d give Augustine and LeFrance the opportunity.
  9. I agree. Especially since our week one opponent is Edmonton. Reilly literally attempting 6 passes and then has 2 weeks off before the season. We might as well let Nichols shake off the rust in the regular season just like our week 1 opponent.
  10. I hope you're right... I've just been disappointed more often than not when we've had a promising young QB in camp who plays well but ends up not being given an opportunity to advance.
  11. True.. But he had nothing to work with. Was mostly playing with scrubs who couldn't even snap to a shotgun. He showed promise but yah its not something that would transfer to starting a whole game versus a starting defense. He was running a limited offense and was not taking any risks by the looks of it. He sure has the physical attributes though.
  12. The coaching staff needs to decide if we are going to give Streveler a serious opportunity to be the 2nd string qb despite coming straight out of Compton.... errr College. If they feel like there's no way they're are going to put a rookie in that role then I don't think he should get any reps in the next game. Nichols should play at least a quarter and give Ross and Bennett the rest of the game. However, if they would be open to having Streveler as the backup then I'd give him heavy reps in the game because every rep is gonna be valuable in getting him ready to potentially start games later on in the season. At this point, I hope we keep 4 qb's around. Bennet with his injury would be easy to put on the injured list so he doesn't take a dev spot away from one of many individuals who deserve a job which isn't available.
  13. Kienan Lafrance better get his tail out of the tub.
  14. Yeah.. At that kind of money I think he sticks. I'm fine with a linebacking core of Fenner/Leggett, Bighill, and Wild to start the season. We can DI Santon Knox to begin the season. Good teams have depth.
  15. For those who are concerned about the stats Alex Ross put in limited duty last season I wouldn't worry too much about it. His two picks came during garbage time in games where the lions were being blown out and he was basically just putting deep passes up and there hoping something would happen.
  16. Anyone going to the game who can livestream via thier cellphone?
  17. If we had a former Heisman qb on our roster they'd be carrying both games.
  18. I'm hoping we keep 4 qbs around. Basically everyone except Mahoney.
  19. Just ask Korey Banks about that. The coach will make the moves he feels give the team he best chance to win.
  20. I’m posting this to show how horrible cfl media types are at making predictions. https://www.cfl.ca/2017/01/02/crystal-ball-6-bold-predictions-for-2017/
  21. I think he's been going Green with Duron.
  22. Rod Peterson was on AM1290 this morning. He was asked about the Bighill pickup and whether he still predicts that the bombers will finish 5th in the West. He said it didn't change anything he still thinks Winnipeg will finish 5th because he's not a believer in Matt Nichols. LOL... So this guy is more of a believer in a washout like Zach Collaros over a guy who has had consistent success for 2 and half season in a row in Winnipeg and only had weapons added to his arsenal!
  23. I agree with you. Hopefully we can find a way to keep all this talent around as we will have some athletes who deserve to be on the active roster who simply won't be.
