  1. In all fairness.. He was accurately reported what others were also hearing out of bomber camp at the time. And 4-6 weeks is still not the best.
  2. The thing is that Nichols was doing exactly what he was asked to do. Protect the football, manage games, get wins. He was treated very unfairly.
  3. I would imagine that at this point we will stay with what we've got at QB. If none of our guys show anything while Nichols it out and then maybe make a trade with a healthy Nichols rather then trading out of desperation.
  4. Sara Orlesky has just tweeted that Mike O'Shea expects it to be 4 weeks but he will go on the 6 game injured list just in case but they can always pull him off early.
  5. Yeah i agree.. I was just commenting on how the poster had said at least 4-6 weeks. I'm not sure who had said "at least".,
  6. The nice thing is we only play Edmonton once and zero games against Sask and Calgary during his absence. We gotta win against Montreal, Hamilton once, and BC once and we will be ok.
  7. The one nice thing if its a 6-8 week thing is that the bombers have a weak schedule in the first half of the season. A lot of the key west division matchups are in the 2nd half.
  8. If they aren't in on Adams than that must be good news on the Nichols front??
  9. http://3downnation.com/2018/06/07/june-jones-says-ticats-qb-vernon-adams-will-traded-today/ Can't see how this isn't to Winnipeg but article says Montreal or Edmonton. If it is Edmonton then I don't really get it? Are they planning to trade Glenn to Winnipeg?
  10. Doesn’t make much sense to me given the circumstances. We should be trying to protect our new starting qb and giving him time to get on the same page with starting offense.
  11. Depends on the severity. No matter who we bring in I’m expecting they won’t start until maybe the Hamilton game. Good thing we have Montreal in week 2. Should be able to split the first two games with whomever.
  12. I wouldn’t give up Goosen or Chung for him strait up lol. You don’t trade for a qb that a team has under contract and wants to keep.
  13. Well.. if Hodge is right and the injury to Nichols is bad the team will save a lot of cap space.
  14. My memory of the Achilles was on a play where he was trying to be a fullback.. Could be wrong though.
  15. On the plus side.. Faith Ekakatie's cap hit is no longer a concern.
  16. He only threw 5 picks and 15 touchdowns last season. He didn't look sharp in the first pre-season game but that's a small sample size.
  17. If we traded for Masoli and he performs well i bet we could trade him to Montreal in the offseason for the 1st overall pick
  18. Does anyone know how far cloning technology has come in the past few years?
  19. I just watched the video of Joey Elliot tearing his ACL and it looked like he couldn't put any pressure on it at all without writhing in pain.
  20. Im leaning that way. There should have been a loud popping noise had he torn his ACL and they would know right away. But just because they say they are still evaluating doesn't mean they are suspecting a tear.
  21. Did nobody record video of him walking/limping off the field?
  22. I guess those of us wanting to see Nichols not play on Friday and get a better look at Streveler and Bennett will get their wish
  23. Based on what I've been researching on ACL injuries it's hard to say at this point. It seems like if it was torn he would likely not be putting pressure on it and he would lift his knee in the air and hop on one leg with staff supporting him. It doesn't look good but it could be worse. There's a chance its not a tear. A tear would mean a 6 to 7 month recovery time. If its a tear here is what Matt has to look forward to.
