There is nothing even remotely beautiful about grown adults who have been tasked to lead nations deflecting and employing whataboutism. That garbage is exactly why the political landscape is a wasteland right now and little to nothing gets accomplished.
Yeah, I think a player should be able to go to the NFL if he gets the opportunity and his CFL team simply retains his rights for the option year. That seems like a win-win to me, and probably the only solution going forward. I can't see minimum salaries going up in some significant way any time soon.
Saying "we have lost in faith in the commissioner" doesn't accomplish anything. Wouldn't actually creating a dialogue with the league be the more productive thing to do?
Like it or not, there's only so much money to go around in the CFL. The commissioner pointing out the obvious doesn't make him uncaring of his players.
