  1. If the reports are accurate and Walters had a $200K offer on the table for Westerman, I wonder how much of that money remains and if the team will go after a MLB like Reed or Woods now.
  2. Count me as among those not sold on the Riders' O-line being that good, even with the addition of Bond.
  3. If we're comparing apples to apples, the Jets' equivalent to Crosby would be Scheifele.
  4. http://www.techradar.com/news/kingdom-come-deliverance How have I not heard of this until today...? This looks incredible!
  5. Not an apt comparison. Crosby's a centre - and a complete one, at that. I get what you're saying but Laine does have to improve his game from a 200 ft. standpoint. And the Jets don't go as Laine does. He was pretty lousy last night and the team gutted out a win despite his rough outing.
  6. Not shocked at all by this. I still can't believe Walters had $200K on the table to retain him... Makes me wonder what Nutjob Reed offered.
  7. He floats way, way too much. Really epitomized in last night's game.
  8. $510K spent on three D-linemen. Nearly 10% of the 2018 SMS cap spent on three D-linemen. That is truly, remarkably stupid.
  9. Jones' ability to manage salaries is honestly laughable. He makes Taman come across as a genius.
  10. You clearly didn't. I just out pointed average PPG and the difference is beyond negligible between the three players. I'm not sure what's so difficult for you to grasp. If you think advanced statistics mean nothing, your understanding of the game is literally as clueless as your commentary in this thread. Brandon Tanev is statistically a better bottom 6 forward than Thorburn. His possession metrics are better, he's a better 200 ft. player, and he's not a liability like Thorburn was (check out his career -39 +/-). He also costs $200K less and has better statistics all around this season. If sports are all about what you've done lately, then Tanev is without question the better forward this season, as evidenced by his better numbers, PPG average, and possession metrics. There's no debate whatsoever. https://www.hockey-reference.com/players/t/tanevbr01.html https://www.hockey-reference.com/players/t/thorbch01.html And hockey's about winning, actually. Scoring goals is just as important as preventing them.
  11. Hopefully, he was just shaken up and will be fine for Friday's tilt vs. the Avalanche.
  12. Tanev averages 0.16 PPG. Thorburn averages 0.17 PPG. Hendricks averages 0.20 PPG. Tanev's possession metrics are better than both Thorburn's and Hendricks'. Tanev also came cheaper than either of them. Before spouting off garbage comments, look at some numbers next time.
  13. And Scheifele basically ices the game with that silly blind pass to nobody. I have never been happier to be wrong! Tie game!!! Scheifele totally redeems himself!
  14. Little pulls the Jets to within one on a beauty goal. Great setup by Roslovic.
  15. And all younger players than he is. Anyway, I wasn't comparing anyone; I just don't like Petan's defensive game.
  16. Offensively, he's always pretty good. I'm not a fan of his defensive play, though. He seems careless at times.
  17. Petan stinks, too. It's called playing a 200 ft. game. You know, something that's required of NHL forwards in today's game.
