  1. Indeed, that was the plan when he was acquired in January 2021. Turns out Dubois is just a diva and had no intentions of staying here despite whatever statements he made two years ago, though. Yeah, and didn't work out as I'm sure many would've hoped. So, management did what it could in light of the lame circumstances and got three forwards* back in the trade. Seems like a pretty solid return for a pissbaby who clearly had no interest in staying here long-term. * Iafallo is under contract for two more seasons (UFA), Vilardi and Kupari are pending RFAs
  2. The point remains: who made any such promise regarding Dubois as a supposed centerpiece for this team?

  4. When was Dubois ever going to be a "centerpiece" around which to build any team, much less this one? LOL

  6. It's hard to sift through all the misinformation out there, especially on social media. I do, however, think it's fair to say the complexion of things in Russia has changed pretty significantly since Putin chose to invade Ukraine last February. How that plays out remains to be seen but I can't imagine it's going to end well for the current president or his beleaguered country.

  10. Not to point out the obvious but you wouldn't vote for him. You'd vote for the Clown Party of Canada candidate in your riding. Why accuse others of being partisan when all you do is **** on everything the current sitting gov't does, make awful excuses for the opposition and its "leader," and then tell the rest of us here that you're a moderate/centrist voter while proclaiming your intention to vote for a non-centrist candidate* who's said and done some very disgusting things? * https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/poilievre-frontier-centre-residential-schools-1.6713419 * https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/conservative-mp-apologizes-for-hurtful-comments-on-aboriginal-people-1.712106 * https://www.cp24.com/news/poilievre-stands-by-freedom-convoy-support-but-will-wait-to-weigh-in-on-evidence-1.6146427 * https://globalnews.ca/news/8959365/canada-day-convoy-james-topp-far-right-pierre-poilievre/ * https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/poilievre-conservative-otoole-convoy-vaccine-mandate-1.6335286

  21. Smart TVs usually have tutorials to help users maximize features and applications, similar to any other smart device out there these days. I can only speak from my own experience with GoogleTV (Sony Bravia XR A80J) but it ran a setup assistant program from the first power-up, connecting to wi-fi, set-up with the soundbar/subwoofer, and allowing me to sync it with other devices such as my smartphone (Google Pixel 6 Pro), PS5, and Nvidia Shield Pro* connected to the upstairs non-smart TV. The app sharing feature is particularly convenient, IMO. It's also fully customizable to streamline your viewing experience depending on what you watch, organize the apps based on usage/preference, and you can turn off ads completely in the settings. I'm not sure if LG runs proprietary software but it could be similar to what Samsung does (which I dislike quite a bit). I can connect a USB flash drive and watch downloaded movies/shows on my TV without issue but I was unable to do so on my friend's Samsung smart TV. * I highly recommend the Nvidia Shield Pro if the proprietary software on your smart TV isn't making the grade (you can even use your regular TV remote to operate it)
