  1. Past hour
  2. It's simply physics, even when the impact is to the head the brain collides with the impacted side of the skull due to the sudden loss of momentum, bounces off then slams into the otherside of the skull.
  3. I agree. If Biggie is healthy that game we are not even talking about his Grey Cup performance. It was a bad move to play him in hindsight.
  4. For fun, rank all the starting MLBs last year. Is Biggie 4?5?6? If so, he's average.
  5. Bighill still has a lot to offer our team, it just needs to be in a different more managed way now.
  6. Bailey and Scoen were useless too, and not even paid attention to by the Al's...Demski was not far behind as well, but once the Al's saw when he got the ball he was nowhere near his game breaking self...they played off and totally focused on Lawler and BO....Just sucks that we should be attacking our 5th win in a row if not for coaching failing us
  7. DB (and WR) are the least of my concerns. If a borderline starter like Parker is hurt, it just means one of the other 97 DB's in camp get more reps. Now if we were talking about a guy like Nichols, well that's a different story. I like Parker but he's not irreplaceable.
  8. That could be said about any number of positions. Fact of the matter is that it is impossible for any team to roll out 24 A+ players in the starting lineup.
  9. Actually Bryant relies more on technique...skill and hands more than anything....and has never had a serious injury of anytype....If he doesnt blow a tire this yr, and shows no decline in play...I could see him playing in 2025....
  10. Im still pissed at Bighill and O'Shea for him playing in the Grey Cup. He was absolutely useless on the field. Complete selfishness. Cole starts at MLB and we win our 3rd Grey Cup with this group. Hell, Gauthier starting at MLB and we likely win.
  11. Hits to the head are not the sole reason a concussion occurs....Put it on to possible prevent that if you choose...maybe some will but it won't end them...You claimed that they are designed to stop the brain from hitting the inside of the skull...from a non head shot...go read your post...as that is 100 percent incorrect.....Answer me this if you believe it does....if a guy gets drilled in the lower back...like we seen hundreds of times and his head snaps back and forth in a whiplash fasion...like a car accident...how is the Guardian wrapped around his head...outside his helmet prevent the brain from slamming into the skull? Same with a guy drilled shoulder to chest...shoulder to shoulder and stopped in his tracks....how is the "brain" protected there with a wrap outside the skull....with no impact wjatsoever to the head?....have at er and fact of the matter head shots are now illigal and not accepted like before....so yes we still get them...but they are a fraction of what they used to be.....and I'm not worried how it looks....sure I as well as others said they look really goofy....so what...noone said they serve no purpose...just not the purpose you are touting...but I sure you will argue and dispute..cherry pick....and all the other narrartives you do in regards to anything I say..I expect it and and expect nothihg less to be honest and it's humours me beyond belief
  12. He’s 36 ffs. If there’s one guy that prob should be replaced it’s bighill. Bryant prob shortly also. It’s not crapping on a guy because his best days are behind him. It’s fact. Coaches are here to make the tough decisions when the players refuse to. Bighill shouldn’t have played the cup game last year and if this year is starting like this it’s time to let him go. Loyalty doesn’t win championships. Playing guys who are hurt don’t win championships. This isn’t kids under 10 soccer where everyone gets a turn. It’s the pros. Bighill is a liability at his age now.
  13. If we have an A+ player in his spot we probably win the last Grey Cup.
  14. No discussion or concern about Parker seemingly being made of glass?
  15. So, you can't put on the guardian helmet because not all hits are to the head? Top level, Dr Booch.
  16. Cal Murphy..Bouno...Matthews...all would have... he needs to be the DI now...limited reps...special packages...A+ in game replacement.....not a 80%+ of the reps guy anymore tho role guy yup.....injuries at tis age happen more frequently...and take longer to recover from...if you even can get back to 100%...he also has slowed down in his agility capabilities....no shot against him....it just happens....but him on the roster in a diminished role makes us better, and deep....hopefully the brains in the organization see that
  17. Bighill is far from being a complete write off. He's gone from a A+ player down to a B / B+ which is still really good. People need to stop looking for a player to crap on just for the sakes of having to complain.
  18. does nothing for a instance where a guy gets drilled in the chest and stops dead in his tracks....with no head contact...how does a helmet wrap desingned to take impact and dissapate it over a large area do anything to help the brain not continue with inertia...which it will and slam into the skull?...Its literally impossible....and the bruising and lesions to the brain from impact on the skull is what causes serios damage////but whatever....u can think u are right you get it...obviously Professor Jcon doesnt
  19. He couldn’t make the argos pr the last two years. They’ve been stacked at lber rotating guys who are hands down better. good is the enemy of great. League isn’t lacking for mlbers either.
  20. It is immature. Good thing no one was remotely suggesting that they not use them because they are butt ugly. A person can say they are butt ugly and not be implying players not use them on that basis.
  21. A better analogy would be if they put the airbags on the outside of the car. Sure, it would lessen the impact forces inside the vehicle a bit, but that body slamming into the steering wheel won't notice. That extra padding on the outside of the helmet likely does help a bit, but the point is the brain bashing into the skull, repeatedly.
  22. It makes sense but the same argument can be made for helmets but those are required. We know nothing will 100% eliminate concussions but if there's something that can help increase safety (without affecting gameplay) why wouldn't they try it? It looks goofy as hell but it's not my brain being knocked around so if a player wants to wear one, I'm not going to criticize their choice.
