  2. I've been meaning to ask you for your thoughts on Wallace... How do you feel he's progressed, if he has at all .. does he have the potential to become a full time Guard at some point?
  3. Wilson is not a toolsy QB at all. Out of 20 passes, 1 was great. That's ******* horrific for any QB at this level. He can't pass on the move and the only reasonable skill he has is running off a rollout/boot. Low velocity passes, poor accuracy, poor decisions. Can't put the ball on a guy. Any pass over about 5 yards is a lob or in the dirt. Guy has zero confidence is his own arm. There's not anything to develop there on a guy who is 28 by next training camp.
  4. The qb situation has to change ....unfortunately I think we've seen the last of Streve.....We have Artopoeus ,Wilson and a big question mark if Zack packs it in.....I'd like to see Elgersma brought in AND it looks like Tre Ford is going to be available ...BIG ??question marks in 26'...After the post season we better have a plan
  5. Today
  6. I’d be good with that. Best case if we promote jackson to oc, is we bring in a support coach. Either some one who has been an oc a lot and can support jackson with the minutia. Or maybe younger/cfl rookie type with experience in more diverse us systems who can be developed here but also give hands on insight to specific systems we want jackson to grow into. Like some one with more spread to run zone running schemes outside of tite/izr who can diversify our run game. Or some one with more experience in spread RPO to help our guys execute reads and work options much more effectively. Like calgary did last year.
  7. Yeah regardless of what happens this playoffs...I hope we cut bait with the works save for Costello and Jackson...I'd be happy with Jackson as the OC/QB coach tho.... It's been blatantly obvious OC Clown guys has nbo clue....has an ego a well...why I'm unsure and just isnt cut out to be a pro OC
  8. I’m not sure we have the staff to develop a qb any more :s Actually, I’d wager we have one of the worst offensive staffs for that. Costello is the only must keep. I’d like to keep jackson as well. But if we go in a different direction i wouldn’t be heart broken. (I’d love masoli as a qb coach). Hogan and billy jean can kick their can down the road. And bolduc I’m pretty meh on. Wouldn’t want to keep him and jackson we need heavy change. Imagine how good our secondary would look with that kind of pressure from 3-4 guys regularly? The D would be scary
  9. yup...scheme never changed yesterday...but got sacks...a lot of hurries....QB getting pounded so was far from comfortable...all effect the trajectory of the game....and how many times are drives snuffed out with a huge loss on a sack or the pressure causing errors?...more than you can count....I dont care how good your db's are...and how many you drop back..If the QB has all day and not a care in the world....they will eat your lunch...and sure they may not score a ton....but eat up the clock and keep your offence off the field and unable to score...and has been a big factor in many a game for us
  10. The als are good at pressure off the edge, Rando and vanterpool were pretty close in terms of quality, I think you could make a good case for either guy. I wouldnt be surprised at all if that’s our starting tackle combo next year.
  11. touch will come with live "game" reps....He has the tools...can he develop them, and develop his eyes and what he see's...he deserves to be frought back...but has to take the next step...and a big one next spring...if not...time to cut bait
  12. https://3downnation.com/2025/10/25/winnipeg-blue-bombers-beat-alouettes-but-playoff-path-remains-unclear-12-other-thoughts/ “As long as Jordan Younger is in charge of Winnipeg’s defence, the unit will always be at or near the bottom of the league in sacks. The former defensive back often rushes only three players and drops nine into coverage, forcing the opposing quarterback to navigate tight windows downfield. It’s a good scheme — the Blue Bombers will finish the season ranked first in offensive points allowed — but it’s not one that generates a lot of pressure.” Hodge has lost the plot on this one, and is refusing to admit to the reality most every one sees. The personnel we are married to on the dl can’t rush the passer reliably. Even sporadically is asking a lot of them. We just finished having 3 rookie ends in their first game as pros along with our 2nd unit dl, sack/pressure/hit clean mbt and the first/2nd string als ol 15 + times at an over 50% win rate on passing downs. We saw it again in week 9 when wj had his best game of the year, his random flip the switch throw back to when he was a modp type guy. We’ve seen JY run all manner of pressure packages, mostly succeeding with dbs as our lbers are pretty awful at pass rushing. The 30 front drop every one package evolved from our in ability to get pressure with 4-5. We’ve seen hall run all kinds of front schemes to get pressure with great success. Who maybe hodge has forgotten is still here working with jy. We’ve been dressing 5-6 dl including 1-2 canadians completely unable to win a 1on1 or disrupt, and wj who is permanently coasting looking for pass knock downs. That while the rest of the league is running 9-10 DL, with 5+ imports and focusing on heavily rotating young, athletic guys in who can create disruption. Which ironically is our old play book with hall running the D.
  13. We need to ride BO hard right from the get go....and integrate some BO jr too in multi back sets. That way we can control the line from the start and then if ZC...The cerebral smart ZC shows up and plays within himself...the shots will be there. If OC clown tries to come up with some fancy scheme....and ignores our bread and butter and our game dictating work horse in BO he best be left in MTL when the game is over With all the warts and all with the defensive rostering this unit can control a game, and in play-off football this defence can I think go on a rip, and unlike OC clown (he has dropped from just OC Guy to clown now BTW) I have faith in Younger and Hall if provided the right personnel, and you cant look past that in all reality Alexander is basically still a rookie starter...and playoffs are a different beast...we seen firt hand all the fancy stats and wins in the reg. season account for zippo when rubber meets the road in playoffs.... And a younger hungrier bunch...well we seen how that translates to an aggressive overall unit....and maybe that will spurn Vaughters and WJ to rachet it up a notch....and generally WJ usually shows up in big games so not too concerned there truth be told if they actually turn him loose Vaughters and WJ are gonna be on roster...just how Osh rolls and they should be really...We gotta get Jenkins on as he handled that MY; line easily....with Vaval back on roster fo Logan we can easily dump the extra DB in Lawson Jr and use him in that spot...and the smart/right move would be to have Bailey on for one of Corcorran...Ball and yes Thomas...1 assume Kramdi would replace Vibert....tho the use of Woodbey there...and Smith who were moved all around were more than good....Be nice to get one of Persons and Jaworski on too, but that would be at the expense of Ayers/Wilson and cant see that happening....But a heavy rotation of WJ/Vaughters/Jenkins/Bailey with Lawson and Woods taking DT reps would give us our best front...especially with how effective Woodbey and actually Smith were as outside edge rush/contain guys...4 man fronts with all 4 those ends would give tha Al's fits Given what we saw yesterday with the potential....and if Demski is back and the offence can control the t.o.p and actually put up some 7's I feel pttty confident to be honest and can't discount that Vval may bring one back If we flop...saying it now it's gonna be due to coaching blunders and a piss poor roster on game day...fingers crossed that Osh actually saw something yesterday
  14. Bombers run game and defence were impressive yesterday. What wasn’t impressive was the wind up in the west side upper deck, 16C my ass!
  15. Thing is, our D has been the best in the league at giving up the fewest points, and we’ve actually been able to score a bunch out side of the offence. I’ve never seen a 10 win team that gave up soo many turnovers and scoring turn overs. If we win the turn over battle, and the offence runs clock, we really can win. 1 point in week 10, 4 in 13, 5 in 19, and a single score loss in week 14. Week 5 we gave the ball away 4 times Then week 7 in the home away series we gave up 6 turnovers. Including 3 pick 6s, which is half of the 42 combined points we lost those two games by. plus two red zone picks. Then week see what happens in a game like hamilton when the offence is run semi competently, and montreal/wjs great game and we see what happens when we don’t handicap our front. If we got rid of our two worst players for internal backups by properly using the roster rules, had gone with lapo or jackson and not hogan, and gotten just average cfl starting qb play we don’t win all 6 of those toss up/thrown away game. But we easily win half of the 6, and finish first in the cfl/west.
  16. Plus controlling both sides of the line of scrimmage usually bolds well.
  17. thought Vanterpool actually played better than Randolph who was beat badly a few times by Archibald for one
  18. first action requires a citation imo. He’s been through 3 training camps playing in 3 years pre seasons, dressed for 36 games, and as we all know he played in last years GC, before all that he spent 2 years in the usfl and never qualified as a rookie in the cfl. He also turns 28 in january. Hes had as much professional polishing as you get before starting in the CFL. He 100% should’ve gotten a bunch more snaps this year. we wasted a lot of snaps late in one sided games where the qb or both qbs ahead of him struggled greatly. But it is extremely hard to imagine him taking a significant leap forward, and suddenly making good reads and throwing with consistent accuracy. He looks much the same as from his first pre season game. Great raw athletic tools, none of the nuance parts required to succeed as a starter.
  19. If we don't turn the ball over... We can beat anyone.
  20. Pick this week need to be in by Saturday @ 1PM Standing below:
  21. I agree about his throwing. He generally throws a pretty tight spiral which is more than I can say for Streveler or even Collaros. On the INT in the endzone, he did have Stearns wide open but tried to feather it to him and off of his back foot to boot. I like his athleticism, too. For his first real action, I thought that he did OK. I also wasn't too impressed with Hogan's play calling but I also think that he should be fired so even if he had called a good game, I'd be still calling for his firing. No brakes to pump regarding Wilson, I don't recall any posters thinking that he was the "second coming."
  22. Sports are funny. Here I am looking back on a pretty mediocre season and logically knowing we are probably done in a week, and yet my heart is like...maybe? If we can surprise the Als I think we can beat the Cats.
  23. I'm always excited to have a guy on the roster whose name ends in "ski" lol...
