  1. Past hour
  2. Walters admitted it. The Bombers don't renegotiate paycuts with players under contract. So, it's not up to Collaros to ask for less. It's up to Walters. Yet, somehow it's Zach's problem when it's not. Now, he's become an over hill the hill selfish player according to 90% of you here. He's not. Walters put us in this situation giving Zach an extension. And Walters got a new 3 year deal himself. Blame Walters Not Collaros.
  3. Helle and Chicken are going to Milan
  4. Today
  5. The last two years, and virtually every playoff game here at that. But we are stuck in a bad spot. We can't get someone who is top-tier at that or any other pay. Zach could've taken a reduced deal, though. If he cut his salary by 1/3, we could sign an elite level talent and a position of need.
  6. Reiner should be there. He was a beloved icon.
  7. (I found this on social media today. Back when having a professional hockey team was actually fun. Fourty eight years ago today). From December 29, 1977 to January 1, 1978, a game between the Soviet National Team and the Winnipeg Jets called the World's Greatest Ice Hockey Game was held at the Yoyogi Stadium in Tokyo. This is the cover of the program. The game featured the Soviet National Team's Olympic team members, Vladistav Trejak (GK), Vloajmr Petrov (FW), Valery Kharlamov (FW), Boris Mikhaylov (FW), Valery Vasilyeu (DF), and later enter the NHL Nikolai Makarov, who later joined the NHL. The Winnipeg Jets are led by Bobby Hull andAnders Hedberg, Joe Daley, and others. The significance of this game was to show that there is a major hockey league other than the NHL and that the WHA is an international league with European players in addition to Canadian players. The fact that a single team played a good game against the Soviet National Team also demonstrated the high level of the league. It was also significant that stationery and other items with WHA character designs were sold in Japan.
  8. They were winless in 30 consecutive games...which is still an NHL record in November, December & January. They went 23 losses & 7 ties. It got so bad that Sports Illustrated sent a writer to follow the team as they were approaching the old NHL record. SI called the team the Loserpeg Jets. But we had the last laugh drafting Dale Hawerchuk.
  9. Look who was running the show. That goofball Hogan. Walters slept thru free agency last year. Lawler left. We have a turnstile at Center which affects the OL. Our receiving corps was so bad at one point we had Dalton Schoen playing on a torn ACL that he injured. Later, we even put Chris Sterveler in at receiver. Give the guy a break.
  10. Haven't gone winless in 8 since since Atlanta... Yikes. I'm not a huge hockey guy, so this doesn't bother me so much but jeeze...
  11. Near the of the Bombers disappointing 2025 season I was thinking “I can hardly wait for hockey season to start so I can feel good about a Winnipeg team again”. Well that blew up quick 😢
  12. Remember when the team kept putting him on waivers? I do (I don't think Nino is the problem) yes I do think a Moose is due for a full time promotion
  13. Jets 80/81 worst season ever. I mean 29 games in a row without a win.
  14. I was young but I remember the 80-81 Jets (the year before Dale Hawerchuck fell into our hands). I think their record was worse than this team but not my much. Maybe we can get a break and the lottery will fall our way 🤞🏻. Chevy will probably draft a Swede for our first pick anyway 😕
  15. Comrie.is beyond useless. Get rid of him and Nyquist, Nino, Koepke. Time to tank. Bring up Milic, Yaeger, Lambert and Chipper. What a ******* joke this team is. How big is the hole? Will Chevy's head fit in it?
  16. I now know the answer to this question. Gonna score big on the test.
  17. Seems they've mailed it in ,cept 55 maybe.
  18. There is no way to sugar coat it..we have become a bad team..ethier we don't score enough or we let too many in. How could this team fall so far so fast?
  19. How do.you.blow.a 4-1 lead!!!!!
  20. Oh my God. This ******* tram
  21. 600 k for a guy who played like the 8th best QB in the league last year....
  22. Here's something we haven't seen in awhile
  23. Weak call on Pionk and of course it ends up in our net on the PP…. And of course it’s in the last couple seconds of the period. I feel like there’s going to be a hole in my wall if they don’t hang on and get the W tonight.
  24. Well if it’s a timing issue, I’d get it. Although Bridgette Bardot got a prime spot and she died only 4 days ago, a full two weeks after Reiner. And I saw the Stonehenge acknowledgement, felt he deserved an actual photo, given his massive influence goes beyond his debut mockumentary. JMO.
  25. he's there the Stonehedge (being a reference to Spinal Tap) represents him. The artist gave himself a deadline last year because people tend to die after he posts the initial print
