  2. Sad to hear of Ken's passing but it reminds me of a true story. I grew up in the suburb of Riverview in Soutrh Winnipeg. When I was 12, a family moved in across the street. The family name was Stephenson as in former WHA Winnipeg Jet Defensemen Ken Stephenson. However, this was at least 3 or 4 years before the birth of the WHA. Ken was a member of Canada's National Hockey Team A Squad. The number one team practiced & played out of Winnipeg. The B Team practiced & played out of Calgary & they developed those players to eventually move up to the team in Winnipeg. father David Bauer was the GM & jackie McLeod was the coach. We won Bronze at the 1968 Grenoble Winter Olympics. We could have won silver or gold that year but the Russian Hockey Federation paid off the refs & they won Gold again. So Ken used to have his teammates over to his house every so often. When they did, it was like every kid in the neighbourhood knew & the players would come out & play street hockey with us. Dryden included. I could name names but with the exception of a few, you probably never heard of them. At the time, the most famous names would have been Roger Bourbonnais, Fran Huck, Red Berensen & Goalie Wayne Stephenson. While it was a thrill at age 12, 13 & 14 to play street hockey with membrs of Canada'a National Team (they never used the term Team Canada back then), I can't believe I did so with Ken Dryden. The team broke up in 1970 when Canada withdrew as host of the 1970 World Championships, Dryden spent the 1969 & 70 seasons with the team then signed with Montreal. With the advent of the WHA in 1972, the talent pool to form two National teams just wasn't there anymore.
  3. You refuse to believe anything remotely negative lol I’m not sure who did it, but someone grossly mishandled Schoen’s health. And I don’t mean Schoen himself.
  4. Typical CFL game. Starts unwatchable and by the end you can't look away. I love this weird league.
  5. 90 at Larters today.... Windy and cold as hell!
  6. I refuse to believe our team doctors would risk their reputation (never mind their license!) over this. But hey it's all Osh's fault...
  7. How do you even bring these 2 wankers back with new contracts? You can't reward either of them.
  8. And thank goodness for that.....
  9. Today
  10. Walters. I believe his contract runs out at the end of the season. Just don't re-sign him.
  11. Should be grounds for dismissal.
  12. I'd like to know what TSN did to Bob in 2021 for him to hate them...
  13. Looks like the Luke Willson - Bob Irving Twitter feud continues. I just watched the Chiefs/Chargers game. Chargers are up by 6 points. 2 minutes left. QB gets a first down, slides down in bounds. Game over. That just freaking blows. Sorry Luke, but the NFL game and how they allow teams to win like the Chargers did tonight just plain sucks.
  14. Ottawa is bad but BC might collectively be the dumbest team in the CFL.
  15. BC can't get out of their own way. What a catch to set up the TD. BC still sucks. Crumback 2.0
  16. I don't see another thread so I will put this here: Ottawa is terrible
  17. Omg, now there's a pyscho on the rider forum claiming one of the years their garbage franchise won, the rider players were prevented from touching the banjo bowl trophy. What a ******* load of horseshit. These people are absolute scum
  18. I sure the PA may..legally there so many things to consider....and never gonna happen But on the look of the whole thing...Bombers look pretty incompetent and bad tho..
  19. I mean you can always bring suit. if he has any grounds at all depends on the medical advice he got, and how/if he took it. morally we are up the creek here, legally likely nothing happens. the league and the pa should investigate this though
  20. Seattle Kraken, Philadelphia Flyers agree to trade of prospects Tucker Robertson J.R. Avon | TSN
  21. Yesterday
  22. Oh I'm sorry are you a doctor? Lawyer? Its the USA, so the laws may be different in Canada but Tyrod Taylor sued the Chargers medical staff and Chris Maragos won a suit in 2023, where he sued the Eagles medical staff for failing to provide proper medical care for a knee injury that ultimately ended his career. Greg Brooks is suing LSU over medical negligence.
  23. That rule doesn't count for the total number of required Canadians, only for starters. So for example we could start Willie as a nationalized American and only have to start 7 additional actual Canadians - maybe Oliveira, Demski, Clercius, Neuf, Kola, Wallace, Kramdi and then go all American on the DL. But we'd still have to have at least 20 actual Canadians on the active roster, even if Willie was declared a nationalized American. Furthermore we could declare Kyrie a Designated Nationalized American and have him split 50% of snaps with Kramdi, while starting J.Jones or Ayers at WIL. So essentially we start 2.5 more Canadians than we are required to.
  24. Lol no he couldnt.
