I love when the word tank is used. Do they have meetings and decide this? If Chevy calls up the whole AHL team and plays them, yes they are tanking but other than that happening what do they do, players play half assed and coaches purposely make bad decisions? Has any NHL team ever admitted to tanking a season?

I really don't see a lot to complain about with these hires, but hey maybe I'm just not raging hard enough. Hogan was very good as the RB coach - good enough to draw praise from players and get the OC promotion. It didn't work out. He's back in a role that he previously excelled at. Seems fine to me. I am sure Osh assessed whether it would be awkward or difficult for Hogan to have a demotion. Jake Thomas had a lengthy career and most of it was due to his hard work and effort. This was not a man with God-given talent. Those players have to work and perfect their craft to succeed, especially to stick around a while. I could see him being good in this role. Maybe he won't be, who knows. I look forward to hearing about the DL coach after every loss next year.

He may have NFL opportunities. having said that, when you make your wide receiver, qb & top pass rusher the top paid players at their positions, they can't keep all. Some good players will not be back. I just keep thinking Jeremy O'day is going to have so much fun telling all the ego maniacs on that roster that they can't afford to p[ay all of them. Teams that lose them due to poor rostering...repeatedly....thats who....and good teams always look to add to roster...continually get better...and add pieces where they may already have guys...who aren't as good....again...that's who we should be in his ear now....guy is a baller and will be 2 yrs removed now from his injury...so should be the in back to impact form...27...in his prime....versatile....a no bainer

You're also incredibly negative around the whole year. Yeah it was a bad year and a real downer but their record was pretty much where they were.

Hogan threw his players under the bus a couple of times. A coach needs to fall on his sword for his guys. Not blame them for losing.

We won some games we had no business winning. There was more of that than the team losing games they should have won. The whole year was a downer.from watching Dobson & Lawler walk, the lack of free agent signings to the putt putt putt offense we had. I've never seen a more uninspired 10-8 team as there was last season.

The Jets are absolutely not going anywhere... That's patently absurd. A tank and rebuild could absolutely be lived through no problem.

When the fans turn away from the team there's always a danger that the owners may say they can get a better deal elsewhere.

No I'm not arguing that either. If you overpay players, you're gonna pay for it, either by not being able to afford better players in FA or by going over the cap.
