  2. I wonder how much of Eberhardt's success was because of Hatcher? I suppose Wilson/Demski is about as good at drawing coverage as you can get too...
  3. Mack has been good at that, yes. But Eberhardt last year was better downfield than Mack has ever been. 14.8 YPC vs 19.2, which I believe lead the whole league. Eberhardt also had a better catch rate, and in 85 fewer catches has the same amount of tds, just 400 fewer yards, and 140 ish les yac. Eberhardt also hasn't missed a game since he broke into the league. If you give him 100+ targets in a year, you will get some kenny lawler type production. I'd be very happy with either, but Id take the upside and health of Eberhardt over Mack.
  4. To be fair Eberhardt has a higher YPC than Mack in more games played...BUUUT he's never really been "that guy" like Mack has. I would be ok with taking Eberhardt if Mack proves to want too much $$.
  5. Ya Mack is the make a big play on the ball down field guy. Would be a good fit with ZC
  6. Yes. We need that alpha target, game on the line, makes the big catch. Demski is a great player, Wilson is a very good player but we need someone to replace what we lost in Lawler. Austin Mac is that guy.
  7. No. I might be inclined to take Eberhardt over Mack honestly.
  8. Im surprised he didnt get more of an NFL look, but then I also think he could've gotten nutty money in free agency. Curious too. Imo, Wr, DL, Ol those are the position groups to spend money at. OL can be a bit hard for team-to-team transitions, though. And of course QB. Better to spend a million on your 4 wrs and go all young guys in the secondary imo. Gittens is yeah. I like all those guys. Johnson had a decent run in the NFL before coming up, older than I thought as well but still in his peak. I'd be very, very happy with that. I think you still need some insurance policy, guys, like sterns. And more Canadian WR depth, but that would be fantastic.
  9. If we ended up with say Eberhardt and Brisset, would that be that bad?
  10. and u had 1 decent yr...not a priority signing in their mind which is smart....and best not be landing here When Mack...White....Rhymes...Eberhardt...Brisset are available...Is Gittens still a FA?? I thought Johnson was younger...29 hardly old but I thought he was like 25..26
  11. More than likely backed the truck up on a multi-year.....Mack and White still out there.... but the cast is dwindling
  12. Today
  13. No surprise that Johnson nre-upped. Corey Mace has created the same atmosphere Osh had from 2019-2022.
  14. Curious how much he got. Emilus and KSB both got larger deals correct?
  15. Well, so much for that option... Austin Mack asking price just went up.
  16. Bob Cameron of all people gets a punt blocked! Returned for a td as well. Just pisses me off thinking about it even still. I also maintain that if Westwood makes those first few field goals we win that game. Jumping out 9-0 is a hell of a lot different momentum wise than 4-0
  17. 30 years old, had a torn ACL that forced him to miss the end of 2024 and almost all of 2025. Not exactly what the NFL looks for.
  18. Bane's release screams you've been hurt and we are not going to bring you back to me.
  19. Screams nfl opportunity to me but maybe not.
  20. https://www.riderville.com/2026/01/28/roughriders-release-pending-free-agent-shawn-bane-jr/ Bane Jr released
  21. 2001 was the most gut-wrenching GC loss for me: the drought, plus that talent gap between us and the stamps. You sure are right about that. The pre-ship teams played everyone so tough. The magic with finding Zach, moving BA to S, etc, in 19 was insane. And the 21 team was a monster that played like they had a chip on their shoulder. That unit could've hung 50 in every single game. Zach got to sit and chill in so many 4ths lol. I think the 21 atmosphere of being unbeatable from the outside, and the fact that we kept scraping our way back to GCs, softened things up a lot. Mos needed to tighten the reins in those years, not loosen them.
  22. The physicality and willingness to go to wall for their coach, from 2017 to sometime in 2022, cannot be denied. 2022 to 2025 are somewhat of a head scratcher, it does seem that complacency set in, much of it for the reasons you always cite.
  23. YEAH...true, as seen here that coaching has rostered questionable players I know you are a Osh fan, and I can say yes he was a huge part of that success (can't be denied) but was also a bigger part of the flops too, as he had final say
  24. Some of these issues...are strongly connected to coaching. Yes. And there are excuses for 2001 too.
  25. 93-Matty got hurt and we had to play Garza 94-Hit the upright and lost by 2 and a call in favour of Baltimore that would be reversed if there had been replay.
  26. GM yes I believe has final say....or should....that being said Osh has too much sway...was even reported as such, and Walter's even has been on record more or less saying Osh has had hissy fit/temper tantrums about roster...that is not a good thing, and needed to be rectified. We need the G.M to do his jib, and H.C to do his from what the G.M gives him....I dont think thats 100 percent how it's going here, and it's obvious from what we witnessed last few yrs...but when you have buddies all in the role they have here...those defined lines get blurred Walter's prob succumbed to the whining that if you pooch Jake and Kolo....I want this player...or that player kinda thing...and again...bad management all around really tho....thats a poor argument that if Osh was coaching those teams they'd have won, because of amy of those coaches had been in control of the 2022-2025 teams...we prob have 3 more cup wins One the yrs u cited we had the QB go out in EF and also got boned on 2 calls in the pre-review era another a kicker who couldnt hit broad side of a barn and a RB who was essentially still drunk come game day....
