  1. Past hour
  2. Like most everyone else, I’m not going into this game with a tonne of optimism. I’m just hoping for a performance that doesn’t make me want to punch my tv.

  6. Lot of people hated season 2 of the Sandman.
  7. Finished Sandman- what a series, wish there was more. Dexter Resurrection is shaping up pretty nicely too:
  8. I have zero faith until proven otherwise in our coaching...and that's not just from losing 4 of our last 5 games...this has been since 2023 or so.....which coincides quite nicely with our talent and depth starting to age out...erode...or walk away. If not possessing a stacked roster...I not sure if we really have the coachability to pull things out of the fire, utilize, let alone recognize actual talent or make changes on the fly.... like i have said several yrs....coaching has been killing us...and we have scratched out a lot of wins in spite of the coaching....except when it really mattered (3 grey cups) or some glimpses of an actual Pro offensive play book....and play calling
  9. Be nice if we could show some glimpses of a passing game...
  10. I know it's way too easy to say this in hindsight... and credit to some here that called it... after the 2023 season was the chance to do a significant re-tool... move on from Zach and roll with Dru... move on from Biggie after his injury in the WF and subsequent reinjury in the GC... start auditioning guys everywhere that wasn't solidified... might've meant some growing pains in 2024... but we had that anyways.... good coaching/management should've had the foresight to start preparing for the 2025 GC a season early
  11. yep. that’s the hardest loss for me to swallow so far this year. idk how you can’t over come a game plan on the 3rd try in a month n change.
  12. not to mention that game should've been a walk for the Bombers after going up 17-0...
  13. nope...that's my same thoughts....no real prep....limited opportunity to even do so if we desired to, but sadly Osh thinks we right there and some good film work and it will all work itself out....just lazy way going about things and really...an inability to even see the issues, let alone the ability to do anything about it
  14. That was the 3rd time we played them in our last 5 games, though. going 0-3 by a total deficit of 43 points. The last game in a series like that should be the hardest for Calgary to win. Dropping back-to-back games vs the same team by 21 points each, then 2 games after that dropping a 3rd by 1 point isn't a positive for us.
  15. yeah....zero depth with any experience then Even tho neither were gonna be all world game breakers but Mayala and Hakunavanhu would both have given us if anything some non-import depth.... and both have been starters and had success at times....but we just stood pat The fact we don't even seem to be trying to get better or try guys out is troubling...is it that our brain trust just thinks what we have is good and legit?...or is it guys are saying thanks...but no thanks to us??
  16. if wilson makes the nfl pr, our wr core is cooked for the year.
  17. i didn’t hear of any practice reports this week. combine that with the 4 days between games with 2 flights, plus one day of film review from last week and i bet the “walk through” was mostly airport/hotel. It was probably two days of film and team meetings to unpack the last game and install for this week. I can’t see any significant changes in execution, prep, tackling etc.
  18. I'm more curious/concerned about our prepedness nd if we actually have done something...anything different to try and show we can adapt and actually game plan accordingly I have my doubts....and I fully expect us to look good with a drive or 2 outta the gate....seem dialed in on defence...and then just watch it slowly escape us as we have no ability or thought of adjusting anything....and doing some legit in-game coaching to secure the win....hope I wrong but.....................
  19. yeah....banking on Schoen being a legit number one this yr was a bad bad decision...really when you look at it...stupid as he wasn't even a yr removed from injury alone until what...week 4? So for our plan to replace Lawler and essentially Schoen's production we sign a guy (White Jr) who had an even worse injury than Schoen, re-upped Schoen ( we should have just 6 gamed him 1 or 2 times to ensure he was a bit more re-habbed) picked up Sterns who couldn't crack Sask roster (and last yr we had a better unit than them) and at best is a nice 3rd or 4th import option, and threw a big chunk at Mitchell and then promptly sat him as we made an excuse or 3 about him...or just didn't know how to use and implement him (take your pick) We brought in a nice group of new guys, then promptly cut them all and kept a guy Case who couldn't stay on roster here last yr, and when did get back on showed exactly why he couldn't claim a spot again...so really have to question the smarts and capabilty of our coaching and management at this point...cause man thats just brutal
  20. Today
  21. Why does reality insist on being so assertive? Just gets depressing! Anyway, any given game day. ott despite having some good pieces, is not a scary team imo. You can't allow yourself to play down to them; they eat that up. But I don't think they have the grit to win tough, ugly games against us.
  22. I agree with TB's thoughts - IMHO Ottawa has a large advantage over us if you look at their receivers vs. our D Backs! - It may be a long day for our defense as I doubt we will get much pressure on Dru. And they will probably get lots of pressure or Zac!
  23. Boy, that looks like a tough depth chart to expect much out of. It'll be interesting to see if Smith or Allen gets decent reps this game, or if it all continues to go to Kelly. And we waste another di, again. Best hope for this game is Ott finds a way to struggle against us. It's tough to put up back to back big offensive out puts. Keys to the game, Find a way to slow down Ottawa. Secondary looks shakey, and ottawa has a good group of wrs. Plus brown and stanback. We can't win a shoot out here, so the D has to find a way to drag ottawa into an ugly grinding game. Find a way to sustain offense. We have to find a way to keep drives alive and stop going 2 and out. Teams X factor. Special teams is really where we aren't banged up, and have a lot of roster value invested. Vaval went off a few games ago, and Sergio has been outstanding this year. We will need that unit to pave the way today. Players to watch, Vaval, Lawson jr, Kramdi, Smith, Allen, Kelly, Jjones, Adams, Ayers, Mitchell, and always Qb1.
  24. With all the injuries it looks like it will be a track meet with few defensive stops. Ottawa's strength is their offence, so gotta give them the advantage.
