While unproven, I’d say Powell is the best of the backups. Good luck getting him out of Hamilton this season though. Stamps may be SOL, no one’s out of the race and putting on a fire sale this year.

Win last night & the Stamps could seriously think of finishing first in the West. Instead, they both their starting & backup qb (McCarthy) who was starting to play well in relief of Adams. he looks like he's done for awhile. maybe the rest of the season. Now, he Stamps are down to one inexperienced qb. Throw in a couple of other starters who got nicked who may also be out. Do the Stamps trade for a veteran backup? They're in big trouble if Adams is out for a stretch like Collaros. There aren't many backup vets in this league now even worth it anymore. Just a horrible crop of backups. The other thing is how could the Stamps let that patty cake defense in BC even play that way. Like WTF? And Betts is such a dirty player. Someone is going to take him out.

Yup db’s have to step up and clamp down but if no support (i.e pressure) they can’t zone or man to man cover for ever. Not my favorite D system when you don’t have the horses to run it. And for the love of goodness let’s go O.

Keys to the game, Strev evolves into a real qb1. It might not be his last chance but it is close to it. If he's ever going to take the next step it's gotta be soon. Might not be another start for him in this league if he doesn't step up. Hogan get out of his own and our own way. Gotta run, and use some of those WRs well. The secondary has to dominate for the D to excel. It sure won't be the front. We need the secondary from this time last year to show up.

I will be at the game today. I've probably seen ten Bomber games on the road in my life (most of them LDCs) and I've never seen them win. Something tells me today is not the day my streak will be broken. But we'll see.

This game is winnable if the Offence can win TOP and play ball control with no turnovers. Ottawa’s defence isn’t great. Something similar to the game in Montreal could get a W. Can’t keep up with a shootout. If Ottawa wins TOP our front will get eroded as they have been the last 3 weeks.

I honestly think it's purely age and Willie can't go all out and because he can do the knockdown thing he does that to still be useful. Honestly they should split reps more than they do and let him occasionally put the fear of god into a qb.
