  1. Past hour
  2. I don’t think any one would give up any asset for zach. Especially not on that deal and with a year next year on the books. Any team that would want him would wait it out for him to be released.
  3. Druther trade Collaros. He hasn't shown himself to be substantially better than Streveler and his contract is weighing the team down.
  4. I’d be into that. We could kick in a depth pick, maybe some one like Lofton, Kelly… kola!
  5. I like him and woodbey at S. I think Allen is much more ready a fit at corner though. Depends on how many guys are out. Gonna be a lot of turn over that’a for sure. kelly was picking up guys running free, he looked like a guy whose green for basically playing starters snaps. He should be a back up taking a moderate set of package snaps.
  6. I actually like Wilson as a short yardage QB. He seems to get off faster than Strev and keeps lower, his instincts to move right or left when over the center gets plugged just seems better. Anytime he has been in on short yardage positives have happened. Whether he can run a regular offence is hard to say as he has not had a lot of opportunity. Strev is 2-0 this year when he has started although it has not been pretty. Seems to not have the escapability needed as a run and gun QB like he used to. dont know if his knee surgery is affecting this more than thought or not.
  7. Wallace has also taken C snaps in pre season and camp here. If Eli isn’t the answer, I’d try Wallace and stick Lofton at G that’s his natural position any way.
  8. Looks like the UFL is critically failing again. 4 teams, the former usfl division, are being relocated with no plans or destinations yet. Lots of other speculation's circulating as well. Likely the end of the UFL.
  9. Today
  10. Yea.. Castillo is literally playing lights out.
  11. Lol, criticize one of the things actually being done right
  12. Truly the end of an era (and it cost me seven years of my life) but my one regret is that I never played YDKJ the Net show with this technology https://help.aol.com/articles/dial-up-internet-to-be-discontinued
  13. Give him a chance and if he sucks then find a damned American.
  14. Why are you throwing Wilson under the bus. The guy hasn't had a single chance to show what he can do.
  15. Part of me wants to see dru brown throw 6 TDs this week. A large part honestly. Cuz that decision right there is what is ******* this team right now and in the future cuz Strev and Wilson ain’t it. Brown showed more in 1.5 seasons than Strev and Wilson have shown now. (Strev ain’t a young guy either ) dude showed he was ready to take over for Zach. He was the next guy. When he played the O actually operated smoother it seemed. The decision to let him go was dumb and honestly, it would be sorta ironic if Dru lit us up and then **** hit the ceiling. Honestly. I’d fire Walters if we lose next game and Dru lights us up so a large part of me hopes this happens cuz complacency is a problem here also. And if Wade and O’Shea agreed with it, they’d be gone too if I owned the team. If Wade was my president of football ops and Kyle was my gm and Osh was my head coach and dru brown absolutely lights us up this week, they would be president gm and coach of the Siberian Tigers.
  16. Could be here for the KFC contract extension announcement also.
  17. Strev for Powell in Hamilton? They like Tuas Bro no. Think Hamilton might take one of our guys also in a maybe bigger deal. Maybe they throw in a receiver (they are stacked there) how do you get Powell plus Bridges to Winnipeg? lol. With Kenny there Bridges ain’t being targeted as much. Last year dude was a rock star tho. I’d take a shot on him.
  18. I vaguely remember reinbold rolling in to his introductory pc on his Harley or something. I think me and my buds all liked the guy. He was cool to us for some reason at that time. I think honestly reinbold era was my first games I remember going to as a fan. I went to ones with parents when a bit younger but reinbold I remember. TJ Rubley is a QB I remember. Not sure if that’s reinbold or not. Possibly.
  19. Yesterday
  20. Tony? Yes. Couple teams are struggling with lber and Tony has the pop on film and star box. What would we get? Idk 3-4th rounder probably? Kyrie? No. Big Stan? Modest return but yes. I think some one would give a 5th or lower to mainly be a player coach who can start in the stretch run. Nichols would get interest, maybe a 2-3rd. Holm maybe 3-4. Vaughters/wj have more value. But wj won’t likely keep it high for as long. 1-2nd. Does having a fire sale help us become a better team sooner? Imo no. I think we’d end up with 2 really good years of rookie ni crops but end up not having enough spaces for those guys. The moves to make would be seeing if we can hold wink any one into giving us value for guys like Thomas/kola. 1 or 2 moves to bring in players who help us today, and possible getting Wilson back from the nfl while jettisoning the worst of what we have. I think a big move that could happen and could help us is actually trading strev. Swapping him for another teams vet back up qb would shake up our locker room in a big way. With all the injuries around the league I think a couple teams would be interested. Maybe you kick in a depth guy/pick to get a slight upgrade in talent and a good upgrade in fit.
  21. That hasn’t been the case in a long while. Doubly so since the coaching cap came in. In league scouting is the worst its ever been by a huge margin. Early in the mafia days we killed it at in league scouting. Since the cap, haven’t found jack. Talent into the league is also down significantly since the nfl pr expansion, increase in nfl pr pay, and the nfls evolution to spread/rpo/spread to run etc schemes that used to not be “pro” systems. When guys get picked up by other teams now, it’s almost always either college overlap scouting, front office/coach moving to a new team and brining guys with them, or grabbing a guy you played against in pre season. Teams are very much fumbling in the dark trying to find talent with very limited tools to do so. This is why we seldom see new players progress to star levels any more, and why every team is hurting for imp talent at multiple spots. That makes it all the harder to watch us cut blue chip guys with out giving many a shot, or guys who actually excelled in camp/ps. We aren’t getting more of that pretty much the rest of the year now. No more LD air lift roster make overs. NFL pr guy in as little as 3 weeks makes as much as a rookie here who starts the whole season once you convert usd/cad and pay Canadian taxes. Rookies and camp cuts don’t have to be all stars immediately, when you play many guys at or below replacement level. Let’s take the easy comparison in Bridges. We easily cut 3-4 dbs better than him. You don’t need to have amazing scouting skills to see that, not when we brought back a tc cut, used a kr who didn’t make it as a db alone, and have two dbs from camp on the pr. Any of those guys would’ve done better than bridges, and offered the up side potential of becoming an all star. Bridges was a known commodity last year. Now do the same with Guys like Kyrie, wr core, bonds etc. Then you can look at well below replacement level Canadians. Because we’ve been under using the allotment of imps, haven’t been playing dis on D/O, haven’t been using the naturalized Canadians, and even a guy like Bailey vs end of PR Canadians like ball/kornelson. What you end up with is a big, big pile of roster spots that give us far below replacement level, that we could’ve used to develop younger more talented guys who performed better in camp/ps. You could even flip a far below replacement level Canadian (kola, Thomas, Corcoran etc) for an import who has already shown flashes of being better than replacement as an imp. Which is a huge talent swing. We’ve tried little of substance to fix the wr core, the mafia has admitted defeat to the 5-6 dl with no viable bodies to rotate, we’ve tried fixing the ol with changes to every spot but kola, and we’ve finally started admitting defeat in the secondary with guys like bridges, and the double switch+ at Sam/s. It isn’t some ridiculous claim to say that guys who got cut out of camp, would’ve been upgrades to guys we kept, who have only continued to struggle or gotten worse. Some positions like qb rely a lot more on nuance/intangibles, and struggle with the speed up to game action. But others, like db/rb/lb etc don’t. Hamiltons poaching efforts (lawler aside) hurt us and helped them with out stars changing place. You might be lucky to have 3-4 stars on your team. The majority of your team is made up of role guys. If those guys play level isn’t as apparent in the stat sheet, and they aren’t getting accolades. But when your depth pieces are suddenly worse than every one else’s, you struggle a lot more. And when you’re go from bottom tier to middle of the pack, you might not have a great D, but suddenly you win a lot more games. Our depth stinks, even the greenest fan sees that. It stinks, because we have failed to develop young guys and move them up the pipeline. When you do that, you end up walking away from good players you shouldn’t have. That is where we are. we likely haven’t Cut any rookie dalton schoen types. But we have cut enough better players that we’ve lost out on a couple that would’ve turned into all stars, and upgrades.
  22. Do ppl think guys like Tony Kyrie and guys of that nature, do they have any trade value? Or are you releasing them instead. No need for the Tony’s and Bryant’s for that matter or Jake’s and Kyries if you are rebuilding. Who has value. Who do you keep? I feel the guys with value are the guys I’d keep. I’d keep Brady. I’d keep Demski. I like what person brings. I like what griffin does. Holm is solid. Nichols is a good vet. You need a few. I mean. Does Willie have value? Vaughters has looked solid but is he required in a rebuild? rebuild starts with the OL tho. Walters should be bringing in every center available. American or not. We start 9 Canadians. We can go 3 USA OL. Why not both tackles and center.
  23. He was the only reason to go to games that year. I mean Reinbold on OB after the game and his overuse of the word, warrior, especially after a 20+point beatdown was funny but it was mainly 85.
  24. But I mean I might look stupid when 8 and 10 crosses over and we win the cup lol.
  25. In 1997, Milt had over 1600 receiving yards on a team with Chris Vargas and Kevin McDougal as the QBs with no other threat at receiver. He'd make a difference. Hogan needs to go though, you are 100% correct.
  26. 3 turds. Was out of town so just watched fully (skipped parts) today. I watched periodically on Saturday but boating fishing and kids and fires more important. Anyways. 1. Hogan - play calling. I don’t know the actual call, none of us do but hogan makes me yearn for last years Buck Pierce. It’s the same playbook pretty sure. It’s like hogan took the worst of Buck last year and said yup, this will do. Brady vouched for this ******. Wonder if he feels the same now. D bag. Sunglasses in every interview just screams D bag. Time to throw him under the bus. 2. I’m gonna put Kola here. Now I don’t think it’s just him, Bryant looks old, Neufeld ain’t it anymore either. Wallace and Randolph are solid I think but they are working with very little. Starts with the center tho on the OL. Ours is awful. He literally blocks nobody. Ever. I’m not an ELi guy but Jesus Christ, maybe it’s time. Then If he sucks you know you need a center. 3. I’m gonna do this one cuz I can’t just chose one. I mean Kelly was bad. Jake isn’t good. I mean. A few guys took turns on D but if it’s more than one, then I’m going Jordan Younger for sending out the Thomas schmekel package way 2 much. And the last drive by Calgary, it’s like we gonna give you the FG but not the TD but a FG wins it anyways. as for who looked ok, Demski Clercius sterns and even collaros in the first half ( I can’t put the shitty play calls on him) and if I’m being fair I can’t put the shitty play calls last week on Streveler either. I can put not converting 3rd down and 1s on him tho. Dillon Mitchell didn’t stand out but he also was targeted 3 times and made 3 catches so. Weird how I think 4 receivers were solid when play calling is a biggest problem on O. It’s not Zach, it’s not Strev, it’s not kola or the receivers, the receivers were solid. They didn’t drop balls. Zach had a high completion percentage. The O play calling is awful. Zach looks frustrated. So does Brady. The OC is the biggest problem by far. Zach was getting the ball out quicker but took a few shots I suppose cuz oline is problem 2. I mean Sergio hit a 63 yarder when we could have ran the clock out or even ran it down so he’s kicking the winner from 23 instead of 63. Just brutal.
