In Calgary over a decade ago, local sports radio legend Billy Powers & his wife were killed by their son in their home as they slept. He didn't live with them but snuck into their house as he had a key & bludgeoned them both to death in their bed. Turns out it was BIlly's stepson & his wife's son. He was a father to the guy for over 20 years. I guess he had drug & mental issues. He was in his 30's as well. The guy was totally ****** in the head so I guess that gives him a pass just like Reiner's son.

He seems like a waste of an American spot honestly. I’m not sure I’d bring him back. I’d draft a guy and probably draft a global guy who can do all 3. Seems like better use of the roster. I’d bring in 5 or 6 guys who can do all 3 honestly and keep the best 2. 1 on the PR. Again if you gonna go American there dude needs to do all 3. Sergio can but doesn’t. If he does all 3, bring him back to compete but no guarantees there. Kickers are a dime a dozen like receivers and defensive ends should be.

Neufeld Stan Willie and Kyrie. Kyrie has a replacement here already in woodbey and possibly Shay. easily replaceable. Stan? I think it’s his decision but an American tackle shouldn’t be hard to find. Seems like we are signing a few tho so where there is smoke perhaps he’s hanging them up. Could see 1 more year with Zach tho. Again. His decision Neufeld ? A guy who lives here now I believe, could possibly be a center option. I guess you can’t or shouldn’t purge all your vets especially versatile Canadian oline. willie? I’m really not sure. Depends on $$$ probably. Don’t think Willie is what he was. Should be able to find some young ends no? Save some cash. what about the receiver. Had great chemistry with Zach. The former rider. Thought he was ok. Think I’d bring him back to compete. Can’t remember name. He got hurt. It’s Sterns.

Honestly. McKenna and the Swede center would make us better instantly. Nodak D would also probably. So not the worst time to be bad.

TV is more so for personalities, Barker was annoying. I look forward to BLM retiring and joining the panel.

To me, releasing Kola is a pretty obvious sign to the pending free agents that we are going to either a) put work in to pay one of them to play center or b) all of a sudden decide Tui can do the job and it’s not B

I predict Wilson will be let go. Neuf maybe not, because even if they go with 3 Americans, they'd be well served with him as the 6th OL.

Barker may be old & irrelevant to some but the Argos think highly enough of him to rebuild the team the way he sees it. He said he'd be focusing on rebuilding the OL. He knows the league & has many contacts in the NFL & college. The Bombers should be so lucky to have the contacts Barker has in his network. I think he always kept in touch with his college & NFL scouts as well as kept current on CFL goings on as well.

Pretty obvious that he was fired. Jim Barker said on the Rod Pederson Show at Xmas time that he had a meeting with two producers from TSN before last season. That they wanted to go in a different direction. They fired him.

I’m assuming it’s been posted here but does anyone know the factual story of why he isn’t with TSN anymore? Budget cuts, other?

They get rid of Dunigan & keep Kate. Ridiculous.

No, it's a lot worse now downtown. The homeless sitution is bad & the gangs are in there doing drug deals & recruiting. You have these massively expensive high rise condos downtown & at the doors of these high rises are the dregs of society. Can't take your dog for a walk after dark. Even during the day it's sketchy. i live in SE Calgary about 20 miles away. the only reason I came downtown the past 10 years was for a surgical consult with my orthopedic surgeon & for follow ups after surgery at the AB Hip & Knee Clinic. Otherwise, I have everything we need where we live. Never go downtown anymore. People have been robbed, assaulted, knifed & murdered on the C Train station platforms going in & out of downtown.

How long ago was 2019? That was pre pandemic. The world was a different place. That was a long freaking time ago. Kyrie Wilson should be next to go.
