Who gives a **** about the cesspool that is X. He’s got 146 k racists and bots following him. X is irrelevant. How has he grown the game exactly? Toronto still draws nothing. Ratings are similar to years past. He hasn’t grown the game at all. You and several on here might be football geeks and nerds but trust me when I say the majority aren’t. Ppl think ppl give a **** about a dude who played in the nfl several years ago. They don’t. The majority don’t know or care who he is. Those segments online get like 5000 views max actually i see on YouTube they are under 1000 regularly. He’s not really moving any needle but I never knew you were dating him so I apologize. Christ.

Ottawa didn't cut him - he only signed a 1 year deal and played all 18 games for them so he was a free agent. The fact that nobody else signed him after a nearly 1000 yard season (949 to be exact) suggests that maybe he was done with ball? If guys like Sheed were still getting looks from teams, you'd have to think Adams would as well. -

Let’s go Brady O this week. -
In the grand scheme of social media, that's really not a lot. I would say Travis Kelce (1.5 million X followers) wearing a Bomber jersey is something that got more views than anything Wilson has done. That said, yeah the CFL has often been it's own worst enemy when it comes to promoting itself. When a guy like Kelce gives you free advertising like that, you should run with it but I don't recall seeing anything from the league,

Also Continuing what you were saying, yes dumping KOTH in one day was kind of dumb (considering that Disney usually chooses to drop stuff weekly) it practically tells me that they had no faith in the show even though they had a huge promotional thing going on at SD Comic Con
-
Luke Willson has 146.9 K followers so when he says something on X a lot of people read it. He's done more for the CFL in half a season giving the league exposure on social media than the CFL has done for itself in the past decade. So, you can sit there, whine, complain, think he's irrelevant & be a numpty, I guess.

Yeah, figured it out.

I don't know if he has or not although Noeller is talking like he was, Thing is, IF he was, I'm saying that Osh wouldn't pick him up. -
I agree with you on Andor. It's nothing special & as I said, it's quite boring. Skeleton Crew, just ugh???!!!

They have already created/recorded the 10 additional episodes from what I understood. I'd imagine that John Redcorn is involved in them and Toby Huss does the voice of Dale. Now if they decide to make more episodes down the road I hope they keep Toby Huss, his voice sounded more like the original Dale IMO after watching these new episodes. The original voice actor sounded off (I'm assuming because of his illness?) and it was quite noticeable. D+ she is referring to Disney Plus and not a school grade. The Star Wars franchise I believe has been saturated and the latest shows (Acolyte and Skeleton Crew) have way lower viewership numbers then The Mandalorian. With the crazy costs of 10 - 15 million per episode I can see why these series are being canned. The Star Wars franchise is hurting so much that Disney keeps milking The Mandalorian and trying to shoe horn other characters for spin offs (see Season 3) and they are moving the next part of his show to the theatres with a Mando + Grogu movie. It's one of the few franchises that is generating money and interest. For @iHeart - The reason why Disney + and Netflix and other streaming services have shows with only 1 - 2 seasons is that streaming services uses a formula where they don't want to spend money long term and instead continously pump out shows as the cheapest that they can. Net Flix is more guilty of this but their are multiple interviews and articles talking about how they'll order 2 seasons of a show and unless it becomes an A+ smash hit that they will cut the show off because they don't want to spend the money for any pay raises and bumps in salaries for additional costs. The streaming services has an endless supply of people willing to make new shows (or reboots of old shows) so rather then let a show get into a groove and grow over a long period of time... they would rather throw one show after another against the wall in hopes that one sticks. So even if a show is positively reviewed and starts gaining momentum... they'll rather cut the show off completely and start new with something else because that new show will be at 20% less costs for them. Streaming services still in my own opinion haven't figured things out and I'm not a fan of it. King of the Hill was dumped all in one day which in my opinion was dumb, but it was done because "if" it was not a hit then they would of cancelled next season and move on and then market and pump out something else. I would of rathered it been released on a weekly basis to keep my interest in Disney Plus and King of the Hill over a 10 week period rather then watching it all within a week and forgetting about it. It's just the throw everything at you kind of approach in hopes that you like something and that you will keep your subscription. Quantity over quality.

What's a D+ show? I take it you mean not very good or bad??? I watched The Mandalorian & strongly disagree. I thought the storyline was strong & the special effects for a tv series were spectacular. Usually shows that blow their budgets on FX don't last long which was true of the Mandalorian. That is The Way. (That is The Way). I have tried to get into Andor & can barely stay awake watching. I've stopped, started & stopped trying to binge watch 3 times. I'm giving up. The show is bloody boring.

We could have had Darvin Adams back two years ago when Ottawa cut him but Osh passed. Wouldn't surprise me if he passed on Woli as well because picking him up would mean that he made a mistake. Osh never admits he made any mistakes. -
Former Bombers in NFL (and spring leagues) news
SpeedFlex27 replied to WinnipegGordo's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
You know Elgersma has a better chance of being struck by lightning than to actually make a team & start in the NFL. They don't spend the money or time developing free agents when a ton of guys are signed, cut & are available on the open market. The best Elgersma can hope for is a PR career or maybe third string. It's also difficult to be on the active roster even as a backup when veteran qbs like Carson Wentz, Tanner McKee, Anthony Richardson, Jimmy Garappolo, Bryce Perkins, Andy Dalton, Tyson Bagent, Jameis Winston, Sam Howell, Kenny Pickett & the ageless Joe Flacco are around. -

They'll make room for Elgersma in a heartbeat. He'd probably take Wilson's spot for now. He'd be on a CFL rookie deal for the next 3 years. It would be advantageous financially to bring Elgersma in. I find it funny how some here are surprised he was cut by the Packers & then waived thru the NFL. Same thing happened to Rourke. An undrafted qb who at least played D1 NCAA. But he was a Canadian, never played 3 down football at any level, wasn't drafted & signed with the Falcons as a free agent. Rourke a very good pre season but was waived thru the NFL. he saw the writing on the wall & decided to come north back to the Lions. Elgersma may want to wait to see what he feels are his best options are. Speaking of Rourke, I hear l'il bro Kurtis is on the non football injured list still recovering from reconstructive ACL knee surgry he had after his final college season in 2024. I believe he'll be up here on the Riders roster at some point after he recovers. Trump is talking about using an Executive Order to get rid of Nil as there are some real problems they're having in college with the amount of money these kids are making. The pendulum has certainly swung the other way. -

A couple of different options that I can add to Noeller's list are : Park Cafe at Assiniboine Park - It's affordable and if you get a window seat it's a real nice view. Prairie Edge at Kildonan Park - Sometimes hit and miss, but when it's on it's really good. Feast Cafe Bistro - Indigenous restaurant , I've been several times for breakfast and lunch and it's always top notch. Roasted Nomad on Marion - I have not been but my wife went with friends and they said it was amazing.

I'll go Lawler.

I'm a bit of a breakfast aficionado... Stella's... Cafe Breakfast with the Wildberry jam on multi grain toast... Spectacular way to start a game day. Chicken Chef is wildly underrated. Wife and I love hitting the one in Dugald just east of the city. Pancake House on McGillvary isn't bad. There's a shop in The Forks Market (I'm blanking on the name) that specializes in breakfast and I really enjoyed it last time I was home. And yes, Clementine... Nationally famous small shop.

I was wondering what breakfast places to go to in the city are? I heard clementine is good and the pancake house. Any that you suggest that are local.

i mean top tier arm talent, and some really impressive intangibles. he also has played the canadian game and needs to adjust to pro speed not nearly so much to cfl O/D. one year on a pr in the nfl is ideal for his development imo. after that you gotta really get into action to improve. The flashes he showed in pre season are really encouraging. lots of guys with arm talent, but for a guy to make the biggest step up in competition and immediately be competitive and comfortable is huge. -
