people love to over rate tackles especially at lber. and/or is willing/planning to throw his coach under the bus in case of crash. I don’t think walters will do that, I think he will take the bullet for mos. correlation is not causation. Tackles are not a success indicator at lber or db. jones barely has any tfl, he’s not making stops at a depth where he/we are winning the snap. Most of his tackles are 5 yards and further down field. If he didn’t make those stops, some one else would’ve for comparable outcomes. He wasn’t running around like ray lewis making massive stops and stuffs. -

not sure what your issue is with Jones. He has the second most tackles in the league and ahead of the next bomber by a mile. The bomber d is in the top 3 against the rush as well. He's also 2nd in the league in total defensive plays -

I'm always shocked at the lack of respect for Deatrick Nichols, but he never has stats... Just always locks down and rarely gets thrown at. -

Vaval has four touchdowns and 11 returns of more than 30 yards and is tied for second in punt return average (12.8, behind Wooten's 15.0) ... the CFL does not track individual fumble stats but I'm pretty sure that Vaval nets out to a positive ...

The only new guys I've seen play that are worth a snot are Bailey, and Jenkins. The other guys are not any better than the guys ahead of them. Jenkins is brand new, so Bailey is really the only guy we can question legitimately as to why he never got playing time. Woods and Woodby have been good but not great. Who else you got? You say guys came in and made a difference but there are just as many that didn't. Dillon Mitchell, J. Jones, and others played their way off the team lickety split so we can't say that new guys being held back was our problem. It wasn't. Fact of the matter is that Walters whiffed badly this offseason. Very badly and if we are relying on rookies to come in and be all stars then we are in really bad shape because that just won't happen consistently for any team. Glad we got a couple guys that look like keepers but it is nonsense to suggest that the talent was there. It wasn't and isn't. I don't mind the criticism of MOS, but it is comical how people are hating so much that a GM who really screwed the pooch is getting benefit of the doubt because of this hate. The players underperformed , the GM underperformed, and the coaching underperformed....and here we are. I think that is probably the fairest assessment I've seen on this forum this year. The players didn't underperform because of MOS, the GM didn't underperform because of MOS, and MOS/coordinators didn't underperform because of the GM/players either. They all have to own their roles in this **** show. Pinning it all on MOS is really glossing over other deficiencies that we really need fixed. -
So how I'm reading this is for the love of Gawd we need our BB's back in the show for the 6th straight time please and thank you. 🙂

Apparently Shawn Oakman is finding himself in some hot water on Social media. Some women talking about how much of ****** he is, includes screen shots of texts.

we've also seen pretty much every new young guy that finally got to play...played well and acrually made a difference...so talent was/is being brought in...and who knows what other tlent we cut loose could have done the same if not discarded for some of the same ol same ol crap we rostered all yr....or several yrs...so there is that angle too, and it's owned 100% by Osh....as his his refusal to not play injured guys who hindered the overall team....and thats happened for yrs here Fact of the matter...I wouldn't shed a tear of be worried in the least if both were not brought back....and we'd be just fine... We re-upped both prior to the Grey Cup last time they finished out the season with them on expiring deals....so if we flop again and actually dont get there.....is that the signal Miller uses for his new direction at the top 2 spots below him and decides it' time?...Possible....I not 100% sold that even if we do back our way in...that it's a given ....guess we shall see -
I disagree with this take completely...but it also doesn't change the fact that he has been the best return man all year and I believe he already has as many returns TDs as Letcher has in his career.
-
He actually explains his some of his reasoning in #8 (and he's probably not wrong): "The bottom line, however, is that most CFL fans are sick of seeing the Blue Bombers make it to the Grey Cup every year, which would throw a blanket on the excitement for this matchup." I know if it was the Riders in 5 straight GC's, I'd want to see anybody but them... thankfully that will never happen for the filthy 4 stripes. 😂

Whatever reasons Walters has for failing to do his job are his choices. Whether that is giving MOS too much say or whatever he owns it 100%. He's the GM. -
Don't get me wrong, it's pretty sad sack when it comes to venues but you gotta let the East have them too because they (whether we like it or not) are our league's only hope of survival.

Problem with Vaval is he's just as likely to fumble or gaffe that leads to an opposing score as he is to bust one. -
For the most part, the article isn't wrong but when it is, it's way wrong. He has ST as a toss up but says "If James Letcher Jr. is in the lineup, his one play game-breaking ability is king and Montreal gets the nod", which is absolutely insane. Letcher had zero return touchdowns of any kind this season (and just 1 TD last year) while Vaval has four. But yeah Ferguson, you go on about a crazy game breaking ability that doesn't seem to exist and completely ignore the guy who should (imo) win ST player of the year. Not saying Letcher is a bad returner but Vaval was clearly the best this year so that should be a slam dunk category for us.

Back in the Cold Wars days, the CIA had a bunch of deep minds working in a field called "Kremlinology" which was about figuring out the true objectives and dynamics of the Soviet Union. The Soviets, being a secretive bunch, didn't talk a lot about their true feelings or objectives. They would have a message and they would stick to it. And so the Kremlinologists would have to read between the lines, and use the tiniest tidbits, such as the arrangements of chairs or portraits in meetings, the positions of the soviet officials on parade, the scheduling and location of meetings, etc, to do their analysis. In the end, they found that most of their analysis wasn't super useful and was just about people looking for confirmation for pre-existing opinions. Today, I feel like some people are doing Oshology.

He also pretends that Wheatfall is the #2 because of stats alone.

Soooo...if the Bombers lose, we can say that the business went broke?
-
I think we need to re-brand this game.... it's not a Bombers cross over... it's unfinished business, 2011 style... the two seasons are similar in that the Bomber will be playing through the east and an Ottawa team didn't exist...
-
Soooo...to the article, Montreal has a decisive edge. I agree with the analysis but we shall see.
