To be honest I don't know anything about Most of these players so when I look up info I've been pleasantly surprised. Maybe a little homer but jets looked to have done very well again.

So would you trade Trouba for Pulujarvi?  Maybe Oilers throw in another pick?

With the Jets track record...  I wouldn't say it's being a homer.  If they took guys who were highly regarded later in the draft... then I fully believe they did their homework and made wise choices. 

 

Obviously pumped for Laine but I like the focus on D prospects. I mean we have Scheifele, Elhers, Connor, Laine, Armia, Dano, Lemiuex etc.

Really strange draft... top 10 was pretty straight forward but from about 16 17 right till the end really... lots of interesting picks. Clague and Dineen falling wad interesting. Chychrun falling was interesting and seeing him talk after was tough... could tell he was definitely feeling it. Kinda wish the jets moved up to take him. Once Carolina who don't need D took bean.... I was like... ok... the rest is gonna be interesting to say the least and definitely was.

Keller at 7. Chychrun at 16. Dineen later. 

That would be Arizona 

Loser as I see it.... Florida who quite obviously drafted based completely on analytics and Toronto outside of Matthews went way of the board with their other picks

Any way you look at it I think the Jets were the big winners. Moving up the way they did in the Draft Lottery then getting Laine to add to the pool of talent we already have. I'm not sold on any of our goaltenders so perhaps we need to swing a trade parting with some of the talent we have. Flames got Elliott for a song.

I'd say Arizona won the draft so far...  Keller, Chychryn and then Cam Dineen thats a nice haul

Wow, Chevy missed the boat on the Kulikov trade...  Buffalo got a sweet deal.  Really looking like we overpaid for pick 18 now...

His scouts told him to move up and grab Stanley so he did. They didn't think he would be there at 22. Those of you that think he could have got him for less.... do you really think he gave more than Philly asked for?

He also mentioned he was trying to do something earlier but those trades scuttled his plans.

I 'm one of the few that thought Stanley would be a good pick up late in the first round, think he has the tools to eventually be a serviceable if not good d man. Was trading up to 18 a good idea i don't know, but Chevy and his must of known something and really liked this kid.
