Kyle Connor has 48 point in 27 games an average of 1.7787 points per game .

Dylan Larkin had 47 points in 35 games for the same team last year for an average of 1.343 points per game .

Jack Eichel had 71 points in 40 games in his last year of college for  an average of 1.775 points per game .

I see Connor making the team in the fall and actually signing in March and getting a couple of weeks on the Jets roster at the end of the season.

I am hoping to see Connor on one wing with Wheeler or Ehlers or Armia on the other wing with Scheif or Matthews at center.

Going forward... Connor Scheif Wheeler Armia Ehlers and Matthews/Laine/Puljujärvi look like a pretty solid top 6 for a few years.

Lemieux, Roslovic, Petan, Copp, Lowry, Harkins, De Leo,  Lipon, and Spacek will be fighting for roster spots sooner or later.

We have Comrie and Helle and Phillips for depth in goal and look to be set for some time.

Our D, on the other hand, needs some help on the depth. Besides Morrissey, there isn't much coming up the pike on the left hand side and I fully expect the Jets to take some LHD at this draft or trade for one by this time next year. There is Sami Niku and not much else. The RHD right now is very good but not a great deal coming up the pike. Hopefully Kostalek makes the team in at least a 3rd pairing position and hopefully Glover and/or Poolman and/or Nogier turn out.

Harkins can be a great setup guy with Connor - but he's probably replaced by Dano now

If he makes the team I see him more as a checking LWer or center.

I think Connor is here next year.

I don't get the argument that he is one bad injury from not having an NHL career, thus needing to finish his degree. Guess what, that injury can still happen in the NCAA too. Without signing a contract he gets $0. Just because he plays in the NHL doesn't mean he can't still finish his degree. Andrew Copp had two semesters left but hasn't given up on his degree.

Hey man i was singing his praises minutes after the trade!

Armia always had talent. He just needed time. 5 points in last 4 games now. He's showing he's legit. 

If people think we didn't win the kane trade.... Armia alone might be better one day. 

And we still have Lemieux and Roslovic coming....

Yup and you know they will flip stafford eventually maybe sooner rather than later and wouldn't be surprised if myers is moved also. 

Doubt they flip Stafford, not anytime soon anyway.

Stafford is gone next trade deadline at the latest. He's basically not really needed anymore even. If someone wants him this trade deadline.... I'm moving him. Cuz youth movement I'd coming. Stafford isn't part of our future 

Yup youth movement is coming but not worth putting all our eggs in one basket at this point.

Exactly. I like how Staf has played since arriving and really helped us get into the playoffs last year but he can be replaced by Armia for half of what he is getting. IF Ehlers plays left wing with Sheif and Wheeler (and why the hell did Maurice ever break up that line?), I would rather see Armia and Dano getting the ice ti me, not Staf.

What would Staf get us? A first? Boston? Jersey? Avs?

Probably a 2nd.

Used to like Stafford but he's a floater.

At this point, sure, trade him, and clear his salary for the youth.

As the guys on the Big Show were discussing, Im sure the Jets home crowd will welcome Dano with a hearty Marco Dano chant (to the tune of Marco Polo).

The Hawks were trying Dano at LW and Connor did play center a while back. I agree though, some of it is pretty off. Dano does become one of our best prospects. #2 between Connor and Morrissey if Ehlers and Helle and Armia aren't considered prospects.

Yeah those articles are Off on lots of things. Connor is a LW. Dano can play center but he prefers to play RW
