#Bombers have added import quarterback Levi Brown to the practice roster.

As a PR signing this isn't a terrible move.  I don't think Brown had much chance to show what he had being 2 deep behind DD.

Walters has made more moves in his 2 weeks then Mack did in an entire offseason....

The more QBs the better at this point.  Like the move.  Walters is racking up a few 'name' signings lately.

i recall a few people clamouring to get ahold of levi before. they got their wish lol. I have no clue about.this guy personally but any qb is a good qb at this point.. :D

You've seen Hall for one game and you're declaring him done in favour of these Ticat/Rider castoffs?  Oh ok then.

Really.... Hall was 12/12 in the first half of his first start (he had two drops).  He was also let down by our O-Line not getting enough push for a 3 yard run play on second down seemingly ever.

That is incorrect. Mack made moves, he just preferred to bring in rookies than cast offs. The number of moves isn't going to be any different, just the source of players that's changing.

Ok maybe not "done" - but I definitely like Goltz more than Hall.  The mobility is a huge factor.  Hall doesn't move very much, seems pretty slow back there. Just my opinion.  Which I believe we are all entitled to.

Hey, you can have your preference and opinion (I could care less about either of them... the apathy is strong here), but DONE is quite extreme.

Brown is on the field today wearing Number....6!  Really Levi?

Brown is on the field today wearing Number....6!  Really Levi?

They literally didn't have any other number to give him.

It would be nice if the number 4 became available.

I was hoping it was going to be Joe "747" Adams

That guy has to be in his 50's by now...

Would that necessarily disqualify hom from starting for the Bombers?

Buck's contract is guaranteed at this point, so they might as well keep him around for emergency purposes.

What about #11?  Although then i'd be pissed cause it's #11 :) He could be the next Ploen!

That's right, somebody has to show the new QBs how to roll on the field and take help from the training staff when walking off the field.

The dazed look, sitting on the bench, however, cannot be taught.

Sorry Buck...it's just too much.

Nobody throws a pick-six quite like Buck.  His delivery right in to the opposing DB's hands is just flawless.  That's a talent you just can't teach.

So anyone know anything about Brown?  Looks like he was on the Sask roster right up until June of this year, and then released during training camp.

To get to the roster limit, the Roughriders released eight players: import quarterback Levi Brown, non-import linebacker Aaron Crawford, import running back Stephfon Green, import linebacker Anthony Heygood, import receiver Phillip Livas, import defensive end Kenny Rowe, non-import defensive lineman David Rybinski and import defensive back Chip Vaughn.

Brown, 26, was the Roughriders' fourth quarterback in 2012, but he spent the entire campaign on injured lists and didn't dress for any games.

When former NFLer J.T. O'Sullivan - last season's third-stringer - was released in the off-season, Brown appeared destined for the active roster. After all, he had worked with Roughriders' offensive coordinator George Cortez while they were both with the NFL's Buffalo Bills.

However, Saskatchewan head coach Corey Chamb-lin said newly-signed pivot Tino Sunseri "looked a little bit better with what we were doing than Levi did at the time." Since the Roughriders don't want to keep four quarterbacks this season, Brown was released.

Chamblin said cutting a player who had played in the system for a season was tough.

"The management (informed) most of the guys, but I said, 'Let me talk to Levi for a second,'" Cham-blin said. "He's a guy we brought in and you form a relationship with them.

"As a coach, I know they'll all be released or something at one point in time, but I just wanted to make sure he was OK and told him that if he needed help in any way, we'll try to help him."
