[MERGED] Drew Willy Watch 3.0 Has Ended

I'm getting tired of these threads, but it'll be another interesting week on the Drew Willy injury watch.  Is this the week he actually misses?  Does Drew have 9 lives?

On the post game show, coach O'Shea said he has no updates and Willy will be evaluated this week.  That tells me it might not be serious, but I'm just guessing.

TSN1290 suggesting it might just be a hyperextended knee.  That could mean he could play this week, or could be out a few weeks.  Upcoming bye week after playing the Argos this Friday, could be really good timing.

  • I don't blame O'Shea for leaving Willy in. You can't honestly expect to wave the white flag with an entire half of football to go, that makes zero sense and it's a defeatist attitude.   That being s

Re: Berry.... Fwiw, have heard from players that said what a huge ******* the guy was amd how much they despised playing for him and we're glad when he was fired...

Yep, I've heard that.

Don Matthews didn't win any Mr. Congeniality prizes, either, just Grey Cups. And he was the winningest coach we've had since Dave (God bless him) Ritchie.

Hi Deeboy. :) Not trying to "fly" it. I still stand by it though. Seems I was right. Sadly, it seems almost prophetic now.

Hmm, let's review.

You argued that O'Shea should not have played Willy in the BC game (a game we won - probably because of Willy)

Then we play Hamilton and Willy gets injured anyways in a kind of freak play where he jumps, and lands awkwardly while being tackled.

It hasn't even been determined it's a related injury, just a related leg.

So, what would we have gained by sitting Willy out, to rest, in that game versus BC?

Oh yeah, a loss.

The moral of the story is: football is a dangerous game with a high risk of injury.

I bet you just can't believe that Willy got seriously injured in the area of that very same previously injured knee.

Montreal managed to get productivity out of a 4th stringer... Why can't we?

Because we can't play ourselves?

Reality has no interest in our narrative on what "should" be. "Should" only intensifies our suffering. The way to peace is not by winning the war with reality, but by surrendering our fight with what is.

Reality sucks sometimes but it doesn't go away.
