GDT - Game Day: We All Play

Well, a surprising number of local media are picking the Bombers to win, but realistically this all comes down to Max Hall and the offense. If they produce, there's a good chance we can win. If it's more of the same, then it's more of the same.

There's a "pre-celebrating" rye tasting happening at 17to85s house in Calgary this afternoon, so by game time we'll be in fine form....

GO BLUUUUUUUUUUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just met Paul Swiston's parents in the airport. They were on my flight from Calgary. They are pumped to see him start tonight. I told them I am pumped too.

Alright, just got to the city...

1) Mike i did think you were black

2) Love the devolution of this thread

3) While im primarily a rye guy (crown or gibby's only), 17to85 got my girlfriend and i into beer snobbery quite heavily. I was a kokanee guy for a long time, but only drink craft beers now. I love a wheat ale, but a red is mighty fine. Buddy in town owns a liquor store and can order in anything, so we get a whole section of great stuff like Grizzly Paw, Wild Rose, Pumphouse, Granville Island, Fort Garry, Half Pints. Bottom line - life's too short to drink swill...

I don't get the obsession with fancy beer. Fancy scotch I get but beer is just suds.

Say that until you have actually had a well-crafted pint of liquid gold.

The only thing that makes living in Regina bearable is Bushwakker's beer. There Porter and Irish Red ale are amazing, well pretty much every brew on the menu is but those are the best. Really was not a guy for different beers when I moved but now I really enjoy a beer with tons of flavour and body.

Some good choices there.

I'd rather drink hose water than Kokanee.

I've had half pints and stuff like that and never thought it was any better than a bud etc. kinda funny tasting.

If i *have* to drink generic mass produced stuff, Kokanee is the way to go. Craft stuff is what its all about tho. Good beer and good rye make life worth living. Just shoot me if i ever get into wine, tho. Gross.

When youre a grown up, you will understand how great that taste is...

that funny taste is flavour.

First game in years that I'm getting hammered at.

Hopefully by halftime I'm drinking to celebrate rather than to forget

lol, me too.

I agree with the Gibsons rye. Silver cap only though! Other good ryes if ur going cheap go with Segrams 83 from Gimli. White owl is a good over the rocks rye and is clear in colour! I hate CC but got a bottle of CC blackberry flavour and must admit that's some good ****!

I actually found the white owl to be lacking in that distinct rye flavour.

White owl is dangerous 'cause it doesn't have the burn...next thing you know i'm yelling at things off the back deck.

Anyone know where one can get a beer and a burger on campus before the game?

I'm a grown up. when I say this scotch is rich in notes of toffee oak and vanilla I'm not making it up. I just don't get why people want to drink fancy beer its like flavoured coffee.

the daily bread caffee in st johns college has an awesome game day menu but no burgers. 12 bucks for a pint of ft gary and an entree

cause it tastes ******* awesome.Or are you one of those people who thinks that beer is only for getting drunk on?

That is the one I was trying to think of. I have no idea where things are on campus though. Where is it located?

We're all excited to see Max Power Hall take on Hank the Tank in a hell in the cell at IGF tonight while Leprechaun Tim Burke quivers on the sidelines as Marcel Bellflower looks on from upstairs.  Gary Galley aka coach Crowton will be putting himself in at QB by the second half unless we see Buckles Pierce save the day.

With Buckles making 300,000, Mack making 350,000, and Buchko and Plop pulling in 400,000 each, the Bombers are putting over 2 million dollars into guys who aren't even here or are broken more often than the Heartbreak Kid!

I'm feeling generous, I'll say 32-9 Ticats, with the Bombers' 9 coming on a trio of field goals by Santa Claus DeAngelis.

its entrance is right accross from where cars pull into the university parkade. they have a sandwich board up

Over/Under 200 yards passing for Max Hall?

No burgers on the menu today. Pulled pork on a bun with coleslaw and a pickle.
