Didn't they shed cap tho in the off season. Think they are one of the few teams with cap. 

I'm good with this. Obviously Laine wanted out.

You're right. I was thinking of Montreal who were also potentialtrade partners. 

Really hope Chevy did his due diligence and PLD actually wants to be here.  His contract is done after next year?  Would be brutal have nothing to show for this trade.

I feel like this is an overpay, including Roslovic. We should get a 2nd for him. 

Roslovic has done nothing in the NHL and wanted out, Laine will be a great player if his back holds out and wanted out, players that don't want to play here need to be moved

I'm having the exact thought. This doesn't feel like a 2 for 1 with these types of players involved.

I was wondering about the RFA situation.  That’s something, I guess.

A few months ago we had one of the worst centre groups. Who's better now?

Scheif, Dubois, Statsny, and Lowry. Has every element you want. 

Perfetti won't be pushed now. He can develop like Scheif did. 

Laine is best player in deal, but I think this makes us a stonger team.  Plus I think Perfetti is better suited for the wing than center.

IF the trade includes Roso....then we better get a high pic in return....Dubois for Laine...I don't have a problem with...kind of a saw off...BUT attitude by each player has to be considered...With Dad on the Moose....I think there'll be no problem in that respect...Maurice is a heckva lot better coach than Tort...can't stand that guy ...We shall see

I'm going to talk myself into liking this trade but I feel gutted to lose Laine. He's just special. But, fit and attitude matter.

Dubois is no slouch....I think if we were getting someone for Patrik, Dubois works for me

It's official. Wow. Third round pick and Dubois and we give up Laine and Ros.

3rd for Roslo / Laine for Dubois if you break it down.

Was hoping a 2nd for Roslo, but meh.  Wasn't progressing with us.

C always carry more value than W in real life (vs fantasy) but I do think we should have got a higher pick or a prospect than we ended up with.

Neither team was in a great bargaining position.

Just face it ...Laine wanted out for some reason....and it's not like we're getting scraps for the guy

My first thought is overpay but it'll likely change.

There sure were some pie in the sky trade proposals by a lot of arm chair gm's, bottom line for reason that only Laine, his agent and Chevy know the kid didn't want to play here 

We couldn't pry away an active player from CBJ for Roslo? I'd feel a bit more comfortable if that had happened.

The PP coaches on CBJ are very happy right now and if there was a high slot coach he would be too.

Jets retained salary on Laine, according to Frank Seravalli, which makes a questionable deal worse. Feels like a big overpay by the Jets...
