finished 3rd in a bass tourney in NW Ont over the weekend (not kidding...) so his priorities are not with hockey right now...

Well it would be Niku and Beaudin in reality but still that's scary. 1 D over 6'1".

Well it will either be a good road trip or a bad one. Maybe 3-1 or 1-3. Not seeing much middle ground.

I just hope Lemieux or Trouba does not embarrass Heinola and score a goal.

Perrault should be on third line with Letestu and Bourque if we're forcing them onto the roster...  seems like a waste of Appleton and Roslo

Typical first game of year. Lots of O, G's shaky and D some times there.

and we finally have the lead wtg KConn (and laine has an assist)

well the last time we lost the first game of the season we ended up lasting til round 3 of the playoffs

If you had asked me b4 the game I would have expected a 5-4 Jets loss with the winner late in the 3rd. So I did okay.

Not a surprise the stanchions came into play.

Tomorrow 2=1 loss. I'm getting my prediction in early.

Morrissey was great. Pionk was really good. Heinola was lucky the guy who burned past him one play not score. Thought Poolman be more noticeable.

Wheels could have had 3 or 4. Ehlers amazing.

Laine off to good start -3 So is KConner

Lemieux not change.

D was bad, Helle was worse. Top 6F were mid-season, for the most part and deserved a better fate.

Goalie needs to be better, team in front of him needs to be better. The two are not mutually exclusive if this team wants to compete for a playoff spot.

Tonight was too pond hockey for my liking, even if it was entertaining. With all the changes to the back end I expect a steep learning curve but if things can get tightened up in the defensive zone and the run and gun is kept to a minimum, this team should be alright.

It'd be nice if #33 could make a decision sooner than later, too.
