5'11? Shades of Toby!

Looks like he is projected to be a top 4 defence man with possible top pairing potential.

Projection and Comparison

Heinola is a real boom or bust type of prospect. With his intelligence and skill set, he could develop into a top pair defenceman who can run his team’s power play. The skating will need to improve for him to reach that ceiling, but even if it does not, he could still become a second pair player with offensive upside. Improvements in his upper and lower-body strength would also help him to reach those levels. Heinola’s style is reminiscent of Miro Heiskanen but this is not a comparison based on skill or ability.

Knock on Heinola is his skating. But, he's smart, so the Jets like him.

Glad the Logan Stanley blip is over...  back to drafting hockey smarts instead of just size

Like Josh Morrissey. Yup. Solid pick.

Hopefully Chevy knows **** from Heinola in this draft....

Jets 2nd round pick at 51 is...

Simon Lundmark RHD from SWE.

He is committed to 2 more years in Sweden.

6’2

The drafting small D experiment is over ;)

Hey Chevy....I was just kidding about trying to be like St. Louis and building a team of players all from one country...heh heh...I get why you might be a bit choked with the US right now after the Trouba situation...but....yeesh...

Does Chevy hate Canadian kids? We seem to draft a ton of guys from the US or Scandanavia

Jets have realized that all these guys will have fiancees in Scandinavia and there's no NHL teams there

'Oh your hottie is lonely... maybe she'd like to move to, say, Gimli...?'

You mean where they brew the Crown Royal.................................okay

Don't like what we got for Trouba but that asshat had us over a barrel...what goes around comes around....Heinola looks a little slow on the blades but has pretty good puck sense and handles the puck fairly well.....Long term development needed....I smell some rebuilding around the corner

Barring a trade, Jets final pick in the draft is goalie Logan Neaton

They are 1 of the youngest teams in the league.
