Ice Captain Peyton Krebs suffered a partially torn Achilles tendon when cut by another player's skate during a workout earlier this week. The 18-year-old center had surgery to repair the damage but a date for his return to action is unknown.

Krebs is rated the 10th best North American skater by NHL Central Scouting for the 2019 draft.

^^ This is massive news....the Savoie brothers and their buddy (who all were chosen/traded for by the Ice) have all played hockey together forever and were all committed to Denver together, but apparently at least one has changed their mind. I would THINK this means all 3 are going to sign now, but we'll see...

And then they lost their home opener.  HA!  Take that Winnipeg Frozen Water!  See you again soon.  And often apparently since Brandon and WPG play each other 12 times this season including exhibition.  Jeez gonna get pretty boring whupping your butts all these times this season.  Just kidding it's gonna be great every time it happens! GO WHEATIES!

(Not sure if there are any actual ICE fans on here just yet but no harm in getting the rivalry up and going.  Cheers!)

The WHL announced Monday that the policy, effective immediately, requires all roster players, hockey operations staff and other personnel to be fully vaccinated at least 14 days before the start of the 2021-2022 season.

The Brandon Wheat Kings have announced that iHeartRadio Canada’s BOUNCE 96.1 will be the broadcast partner of the prairie WHL team.
