Going for 2

It infuriates me when we let a team come in and score and then they go for 2 and get it. However that is a winning attitude!

Then when we score a TD, our coach basically says to our team "we better kick a single point because I don't believe we can get 2 points to tie it..."

Absolutely maddening! He told the team we aren't as good.

I think more for me was the frustration on how easy it was for Ottawa to consistently convert  two on us whether it was blown assignments, being beat like a rented mule and/or stupid a$$ penalties.

Agreed. That made me furious and was a damning condemnation of the defence. It wasn't like the Ottawa offence had the whole field to spread out- just the end zone and a bit and the Bombers still could not stop them even once. This game could be the turning point of the Bombers' season and the end of some coaches' careers.

I guess this is what you get for turning a middle linebacker into a head coach.

Our defense is the perfect type to go for two against. I like the call to go for 2 more often. The biggest reason we seldom do it is medlock is money.

kicking the single was probably smarter considering how inept the offense was. Medlock is automatic, our offense was **** on the night.

If we take 7's and the other team get's 8's, then we need an extra score to win.

So what you're saying is, 8 is more than 7?

Streveler would have gotten the 2 point conversions....

why are we even arguing about converts anyway? The offense doesn't go 2 and out all night it wouldn't matter.

Actually we stopped them twice, but took a couple of dumba$$ penalties to give them a 2nd shot at it.

You basically have a 50/50 chance of success on a two point convert, so getting 4 in a row in one game is a 6% chance of success. Anyone who doesn't think our defense stinks just needs to stop and think about that for a minute.

It would be like you flipping a coin and getting 4 heads in a row.

I'm in Wisconsin....... and could smell it from here.....

Dairy farms don't usually have bulls - so the scent of BS is definitely coming from MB.

So,,,you're saying they scored every time, right?

No, they scored on 4 out of 6 opportunities.
