I countered and suggested that a 20 game play off hot streak shouldn't justify those kind of dollars when his previous 300 games he was nothing special at all. He wasnt there for scoring he was there for intimidation and it worked.. Hes a good player.. Is 5.17 too much? Probably but its not a massive overpayment. He will get paid what he got paid in the A the last few years now and it isnt 874.. Its a fraction. That AAV is only if he makes and plays the year with the Jets .. He wont.
