    Back in the good books.

  • re-posted for emphasis   Wonderful childhood memories of Harry Neal and Bob Cole cheering for them to beat the Jets 4 nights a year, the only 4 nights a year CBC could be bothered to televis

Jets have found their game.

just noticed Defence has stopped making passes across ice right in front of their own net this year.... as I requested.

get up in the morning get on the bus

get up in the morning like the rest of us

1290  has been nattering about Laine not scoring in five whole games.  (GASP!)

usually they're (1290) pretty good, not sure who thought this was a good angle.

"Canada's hope for a cup..."

Shut up, Jim. It's bad enough listening to you whenever the Leafs play on HNIC. This narrative the media continues to trot around about bringing the Stanley Cup "home" is utterly ******* asinine.

Great win in Toronto the other night. The visitors did a hell of a job shutting down the Leafs in the final frame. Solid bounceback after the bed-shitting in Chicago.

Anybody that watches the Leafs can safely say that they are not ready to contend no matter what the media in Toronto will tell you, their defense is poor and rely on a hot goalie  most of the time, the forwards are capable but disappear at times, anyone notice Mathews, Nylander and Marner in a good way on Saturday, but the thing that really sticks out is the Leafs are a soft team, easy to push around and will get ground down in the playoffs.

I noticed Matthews defend against Laine pretty well at least once or twice the other night. Marner and Nylander aren't two-way players, though. Not yet.

One could probably make a similar argument for the Jets with Hellebuyck (even though the depth at forward and defense is better) but seriously... where would the Leafs be right now without Andersen?

I noticed this too.  Toronto's defence is going to get smoked.  They don't come close to matching ours.  And that's one of the reasons we won, we just ground them into the ground.  They are going to have a hard time making it past Tampa or Boston, both pretty good teams.
