So anyone go anywhere good lately, with iHop opening on monday (surely this one will be better than the one in grand forks service wise) I'm kind of wondering if anyone has been anywhere decent recently

 

a month ago I went with my friends to canadian brewhouse.....man that was a good burger but a word to the wise, do not get an appetizer if you also plan on getting the John Candy Burger it's the second most expensive thing there...but man those garlic fingers were excellent, but there were more than I thought so I asked "anyone want to share my fingers?" which they gladly did

 

I can assure you that the John Candy Burger is nothing like whatever John Candy like item that Rumors Comedy Club has....it was just two patties compared to the Rita Challenge

 

I'm not sure if anyone has made a restaurant thread yet so I'm just leaving this here

Word on the street in Winnipeg is that Red Lobster building has been sold and has a 6 month lease term. Then they are either closing for good or relocating to near Ikea

You can buy the biscuit mix in grocery stores, and they're really, really good at home too!

I know we had some mix awhile back but it's not the same, they must use something else in the restaurant that households don't have

Also Kildonan Place has announced that something new and local will go in the place where BDI was in the Food court (but BDI was local, stupid Pandemic)

Are they not supposed to redesign the mall to move the food court closer to theatre?

They're still working on the new theatre, and that's supposed to behind Save On Foods

Both the theatre & food court are being moved.  The food court is also being expanded.  Here's the current map vs the planned map.

KP desperately needs an overhaul on the food court and the restaurants that they have within it.   I'm hoping outside of A&W and Subway that all the other places get replaced with something that at least offers decent quality food.

I haven't eaten in a food court in years, but I'll bet if I did it would be A & W.  How places do you need serving warmed up stir fry and noodle?

and I was just thinking that they were probably going to put a bodegoes in there....I'd rather have another Ice Cream place replace it, but Baskin Robbins isn't local

Nice!  Ice cream only places in a food court doesn't really make sense,  I'll definitely check out this new place.
