Trump has gone right over the edge:

At a recent Wisconsin rally, Donald Trump plunged to new depths with regard to a woman’s right to choose. Regaling his loyal supporters with a gruesome, fictional account of what happens in a delivery room, Trump insisted that doctors and mothers often conspire to “execute” healthy newborns. Beyond shocking, Trump’s grisly lie represented his latest mental leap into a world of fantastic violence. Yet in covering the rally and the ghastly infanticide claim, the New York Times could only summon enough courage to call Trump’s hideous declaration “a standard, and inaccurate, refrain.”

Even with the hysterical headline the Washington post article actually says Mueller agreed with Barr s assessment and his misgivings was with media reports not Barr.

The chasm between Collusion Truthers/ partisan media's wish fulfillment and reality is breathtaking.

Angry that Mueller couldn't take down Trump now they've moved on to Barr with even less evidence.

I don't know if your American acquaintance is going to get the opportunity to vote for trump in 2020.

and that's what scares me.  The Democrats seem to have already conceded the election and are pinning all of their hopes on impeachment instead.  I don't think that that is a strategy that is going to win.

yes this was just awful.  However, late-term abortions are a hot-button issue in the US (could be as big as immigration was in 2016), and the Dems have to decide if they want it to be a hill they want to die on.  When you have someone like Trump spouting this kind of nonsense, and who doesn't play by any rules, what do you do?  How do you combat it?  The Republican talking point "Democrats want to kill babies" - Democrats "well, not quite babies".  It's a tough one.

Except extreme late term and post birth abortions do happen as the Gosnell case showed, which media willfully hid from, there are Democrat policy makers, who promised to legalize infanticide if doctor and mother agreed.

So who exactly is living in a "fantastic " dream world of violence?

But he was found guilty for murder and imprisoned. How did the media hide from that? it was covered pretty well in print. There was no tv cameras allowed in the philly courts.

The media didn't cover it up- you don't think the conservative radio scene and pundits tried really hard to push the anti-abortion narrative on this one? it didn't gain much traction because there was no tv coverage. it's pretty much that simple.

in the end though... Gosnell was tried, found guilty and sentenced. for murder- thank goodness.

How this ends up being like what trump made abortions out to be... no clue- that dude is pure cuckoo-bananas.

Thing is he'll appoint some other liar to replace this person.

One thing is clear out of all of this.

If you aren't willing and able to lie every day, about anything, trivial, or vitally important, you are not qualified to work for Trump, and will not work for him for long.

That's actually the only thing  he wants in an employee.

skill, experience, knowledge, non of those things matter.

National media did not cover it. They reported the verdict and thats it. The media gallery throughout the trial, was ,largely empty. Home town Washington Post rationalized the avoidance of coverage of 50 people murdered as just a "local crime story".

Facebook banned advertising for the movie, much of media refused to review it, could go on and on but you get the idea.

Movie based on the Gosnell crimes and trial. Leftists and media sympathizers wanted the case out of the public consciousness as fast as humanly possible.

And if they weren't shamed into acknowlodging what actually happened by non MSN and social media they would have skipped the entire case completely.

That is very interesting- could you elaborate a little more please, I know very little about the suppression tactic used here.

what I find fascinating in the MSM cover up claim, is that no one on the conservative-rightwing media picked it up... if both sides fail to pick up a VERY ideologically charged trail case.... that shows lack of interest and not cover up. I seriously think that the fact cameras were banned in court played a much larger role than a "leftist cover-up".

Simple. They refused to cover the trial. Ignored and or ridiculed the movie.

Near limitless , no questions asked abortion has replaced legal but rare as a new sacred cow for the left.

So any real life events that shame this needs to be strategized against, in tthe Gosnell case, give as little attention to it as possible. And they did.

WHat about the right-wing conservative media? they were just as complicit... are "Near limitless , no questions asked abortion has replaced legal but rare as a new sacred cow" for the conservatives now?

This clown shoe says he can’t remember if he gave info on ongoing investigations to the White House. The attorney general!

He also lied about the definition of obstruction.

To get away with obvious lying you need to be charming and/or charismatic. That’s why so many politicians are good at it.  Barr is no politician. And it makes them all (trump included) look like a band of crooks.

Plus trump is so transparent. When he’s scared he goes on tweet storms. What was it today, 60+?? Lol.
