September 24, 20169 yr Author The rules these days are all effed up. A receiver or running back can get a helmet shot with no penalty & at times they are just as vulnerable as a qb. That RTP on Willis was bogus. No intent to injure. Willis didn't lead with his helmet. Clean hit but a cheap penalty. Then there's the PI rules, incidental contact & coaches challenges. To me, the rule changes the last 3 seasons have really messed up the game. Edited September 24, 20169 yr by iso_55
September 24, 20169 yr Author Esks RB Shakir Bell & the lions DB hit helmet to helmet. No penalty... I guess DB or RB brains getting scrambled is no issue to the CFL. Maybe I'm off base here but there shouldn't be 2 sets of rules for qbs & everyone else.
September 24, 20169 yr they need to figure out a way to allow incidental contact to the head (as long as the defender is not leading with the head) to remove penalties like that one or the dumb helmet slaps

September 24, 20169 yr Author Quote Jennings with another costly maybe game losing pick. Jennings makes lots of mistakes when the chips are down.
September 24, 20169 yr meh, Jennings is 24 years old, im jealous the Lions are set at QB for the next 10-15 years Edited September 24, 20169 yr by peggars

Tonight & earlier this season vs the Stamps with 2 picks late in the game. Qbs who don't learn don't last long. Edited September 24, 20169 yr by iso_55
September 24, 20169 yr Bombers move into sole possession of 2nd place in the West with a victory in Calgary tomorrow!
September 24, 20169 yr Great game for Edmonton. BC played a great 1st quarter. Edmonton played 3 good quarters. Bell had a huge night. BC just couldn't stop him even when they knew he was going to run the ball. Made BC look more beatable than I thought they'd be.
September 24, 20169 yr Wally is back to squinting on the sidelines....says..'hey wah happened we had them'.... Youthful gunslinger Jennings is going to cost the leos a few...that was one of them...We have them back to back coming up....Going to be some tuff competition..

Can't expect the kid to carry his team to victory every single week.
September 24, 20169 yr now that the Lions lose to a below .500 team, are we going to discuss if the Lions are 'For Real'?

They are and will be inconsistent, at least for this season. The type of experience Jennings needs isn't going to be found outside of live-fire games. But they do look to be beatable, especially to a ball-hawking defense like the Bombers. Jennings' inexperience leads him into trying to force the ball.

What is with attendance in Edmonton? Is there 25,000 there at Commonwealth?
