  1. 1. The one possibility would be to sign late in the year for a situation like that. Or perhaps jumping on with a play-off bound team with an injured starter.
  2. Dave Naylor is speculating that the injury will prevent his CFL return right now but next year is looking likely.
  3. For 2 years, It thought he should retire. The last three times he got a job, I was astounded. And each time he got another injury and was out long-term, there was that sadistic satisfaction of saying, I knew it, now he's done. Then another team would sign him. Blew me away. For him to come back from all of that, and have the success he's had? Just incredible. Now, all that said, I don't remember any negativity from the initial thread. It was a mix of, thankfully we found someone and some shrugs because of the perennial injuries. Most of the debate happened after 2019 - when the question became - do we bring him back?
  4. No one is arguing they should. But you are trying to say that doing the opposite - taking away games - will somehow lead to increased attendance and revenue. It's a completely unreasonable take.
  5. None of these have the slimmest chance of happening. Less game = less people = less money. Literally every sport is adding games, increasing amount of teams that make play-offs, to create more games to create more money.
  6. 1. I don't see why this would happen. Why would more people go to games? 2. You can do this anyway? 3. This may add a couple of thousand people over 5 total games - with no increase to TV numbers. You're going to sacrifice 100's of thousands of people over multiple weeks of missed games and lose TV dollars.
  7. And that's a place where they absolutely could/should. Play-offs are two months long and into the summer. I can't hold interest for that long. Craziness. But they won't, because games = money.
  8. I'd like to hear how you can "maximize revenue" that makes up for 3 games of attendance, concessions, and TV revenue. The NFL is adding games for this reason. And again, I don't know why anyone would want less games. I certainly don't.
  9. You would sacrifice so much revenue in a move that would be almost universally hated.
  10. Just going to throw the TDs on here too: Most Passing Touchdowns – Season 46 – Khari Jones – 2002 37 – Zach Collaros – 2022 36 – Matt Dunigan – 1993 35 – Tom Clements – 1987 34 – Jack Jacobs – 1952
  11. The answer to this problem - like so many others - is more money. Also the stuff Noeller said - it's so hard to recruit and train refs. People are brutal to them from the grassroots on up.
  12. Marry BC - our kids would dominate the league until the end of time. F**k Toronto - both meanings of the F bomb are appropriate. Kill Sask - dirty ingrates.
  13. Demario Houston is turning over a crap ton of balls...
  14. Nah. Those sucks need to be taken down a peg and the Stamps are no threat. Go horses!
  15. He has had some bad games. The team is just good enough and most of the rest of the league is bad enough where it doesn't matter.
  16. I noticed Rose talking lots of smack most of the night.
  17. My concerns aren’t just in-game, but season long. You can pretend certain players aren’t injury prone if you want, but over the course of a 20+ game season, wouldn’t you want a guy like Jeffcoat to stay as fresh as possible? Hopefully Haba comes back relatively soon. At least they trusted him to be out there. A lot of the roster management stuff I talk about is on Walter too. We needed quality DEs in camp the last two years and it’s pretty bad that the one guy on the roster came after camp was already over. Our PR is filled with guys who will never play. Walters wears that too. EDIT: I obviously say that while prayer to my Trinity shrine every night, recognizing that we have been blessed with - by far - the best coach and GM in the league. These are complaints from a place of privilege that I feel I’ve earned from not seeing a Grey Cup win in my lifetime until in my 30s.
  18. 1 - Zach “M************ F****** Collaros 2 - Schoen/Lawler: this is what we expected in week 1 3 - Willie and the D. Bombers are still the best D in the league. HH - I’ll also give it to Brady for the make up TD
  19. This is the most uneasy I’ve ever felt this year and I’m still pretty confident in a win.
  20. He's been asked many times and just laughs.
  21. Unless we can show we can hang with BC and Toronto, we are not in the top tier with them like we've all been saying all year.
  22. I still think it’s a mistake not to have more bodies on the DL. And benching Parker is hella confusing.
  23. From our last game against B.C., we’re also adding Houston, Lawson, and Lawler. None of whom were on the roster in the first game.
  24. It’s also not something I want? Why the hell do I want a guy calling the play before it happens? Analysis means telling me what happens after the fact. How did the O beat the D or vice-versa.
