  1. Unless Zach retires, Strevy would go be a starter somewhere else. Wishful thinking to think he'd come be a back-up when 6 teams would be trying to outbid each other to bring him in as a starter.
  2. I don't blame Prukop for the throw. I do think it was a huge mistake for Buck to have that play call in at that point in the game. Brady was just getting rolling. Should have let him grind it out.
  3. No way another team lets Strevy come back to Winnipeg. Not nearly enough arms to go around.
  4. Nope, it’s just that both things can be true.
  5. I honestly wouldn’t feel any better with Prukop. But no question he’s more capable/trusted to do his 3rd down thing.
  6. This is one of the most ridiculous arguments (on both sides) I can remember seeing. Whether you say the Lions played well or the Bombers played poorly, it's the same thing.
  7. Of our 4 secondary positions (not including safety), we were down 3 of them. Darby missed a lot of snaps at SAM as well, as Kramdi played a bunch. How much depth do you expect to have?
  8. Giant meh for me about Prukop. I want Zach on the field. Dru can push forward for a yard. Streveler was nice to have while he was here, but Prukop is not him. Pretending he was is (one of the many reasons) we lost the Grey Cup.
  9. This week reminded me of playing Toronto last year. The DL completely overwhelmed the OL and our offence couldn't really get started. So, it's definitely a scheme/strategy that teams can use (if they have the horses) against us with success. It's going to be on Buck to have a way to burn teams early so our offence doesn't sink into the funk that we've seen in the (very few) games in which this happens. In my ongoing imagined debate which MOS' roster management, I think a guy like Greg McCrae could be pretty valuable as a release valve. Lawler would obviously be a big add too, we could probably use a max protect OL if we had him on the field to get open quickly/beat his man. Meh. Give him his due. Can't praise MOS for intangibles and ignore them in others. He's had success across multiple teams and has survived the loss of Rourke to keep his team humming. They are firmly in the top third of teams that have a shot at winning it all this year.
  10. It's their 2nd in 3 years. The first one was held with covid restrictions still in place so they didn't see the full financial benefit.
  11. Good thing they begged to have the Grey Cup again, eh?
  12. I mean, other than Bryant, which of our older players showed significantly worse than our younger ones? Off week, but i can’t see any reasonable way to blame the age of our vets on this one.
  13. Dude - It's one game. Check yourself. The random DT that our coaching staff let go is not going to be an improvement. We've lost Rose, Parker, and Houston out of our secondary. We're scrapping the bottom of the depth chart and just have to live through it. Not much we can do there until our starters come back. We've had the best OL in the game for years. Including the first two weeks of the season. A one off game and you're talking about changes? That's absolutely crazy.
  14. It just sucks, is all. I really hope next week, they take care of the Als handily and we can all forget about this game like we did the Hammy game last year.
  15. Reminded me of our game against the Argos last year (though we still managed to win that one). The DL just tore through our OL the whole game and it was really tough to get anything out of the offence. This was an even worse version of that.
  16. This is it. We have too many guys on the roster just for special teams. And as someone mentioned yesterday, it's not like our special teams are doing anything amazing out there. Sit some linebackers down. Get an extra DB and DL in there. (Though, again, this game was all about our offence getting blown out of the water, imo).
  17. I hope no one picked Bomber players this week!
  18. I give zero ***** about how our D played, tbh. This was entirely on our inability to score on offence.
  19. We were trying to figure out when was the last time we saw this kind of offensive performance.
  20. Ugh. After you said this, I had to go look. Obviously, present company excluded, football fans don't always represent the best and brightest of society.
