  1. Ok now, he’s the league sack leader by a large margin. Canadian or not he’d be getting his press and MODP consideration.
  2. Well we can agree to disagree on Kelly’s outstandingness. Not the go up point of this discussion. but for the purpose of the MOP award, a player needs to be excellent and needs the opportunities to demonstrate it. It’s like the cornerback argument: the best CB’s don’t accumulate stats because they’re never targeted. Meanwhile, the “lesser” CBs win award for leading the league in INTs, when they’re the most targeted CBs. In this particular season, Kelly did what he needed to do to keep his team moving; but due to the strength of the rest of his roster, he was rarely put into the position of needing to throw for 4+ TDs to steal a game. Brady was consistently leaned on all year long in both the running and receiving game and saved the day more than once. (I realize you agree; I’m just pontificating).
  3. Can’t blame him; but also can’t label him “outstanding” if he was never in the position to show it.
  4. I never believed Burris would have interest. I feel like his name as been mentioned before and he would always wave it off. But I think him being back is generally a good thing for the league. Very high profile player, lots of strong feeling for him from many fan bases. He’d make some headlines and fill a bunch of pages in these boards, that’s for sure.
  5. Everyone said all of this. But next time there’s a roster decision that someone disagrees with, it starts all over again.
  6. I see the first tier as Sask and Ottawa. Losing franchises held back by QB play. Will overpay if given the opportunity. There’s the second tier of Montreal, Winnipeg, Edmonton, Calgary, and Hamilton. These teams could keep the status quo at WB, but are likely to check in and see what it would take. BC and Toronto probably don’t have any interest.
  7. I would believe he's on a wish list, but he's on an NFL staff these days, isn't he?
  8. Don't get me wrong, I want to see him play. I just don't want him taking 150 yards worth of punishment.
  9. If he has a big game, he can crack 1000. But we may need him for the WF, so I hope they don't let him get it. #sorrykenny
  10. Just in terms of people already on the active roster.
  11. If anything, the slightly hobbled Zach in last year's Grey Cup will reinforce his beliefs, imo. Meh, none of us do. Fun to speculate sometimes but no way to really believe what anyone says on the matter.
  12. I agree completely. I was hoping BC won last night for this reason.. But MOS is MOS.
  13. So in 2021; Zach's last complete game was Nov.6th with the Final on Dec. 5th. In the month between he sat in one game and got a few reps another game with 1 bye week. In 2022; Zach's last complete game was Oct. 8th with the West Final on Nov. 13. In the 5 weeks between he sat in one game, got some reps in another with 2 bye weeks. MOS doesn't seen to believe in rust, or anything of the sort.
  14. Well, we’ve seen MOS put starters on the bench earlier than this, so I’m not expecting to see Zach for too long tomorrow, if at all.
  15. Well, not my ideal scenario but obviously not a bad one. I hope we’re not too rusty once the West Final comes.
  16. It’s an indifferent thing. either missing the playoffs brings me equal joy.
  17. I don’t know, he’s looking pretty good to me. A couple of could-be picks. But he’s plying with no fear and if his recovers would do him a solid now and then, they’d be running away with this already.
  18. He obviously looks terrible, but he’s thrown quite a few good balls already.
  19. Oh, man. McCheese had a kid? He’s gonna put on another 20 lbs this off-season.
