  1. I'm sorry man, I don't buy what you're selling. Chevy was not some low-level AHL gm. He was the Assistant General Manager. He was the senior management team. If he is telling the "truth", it means he was aware while Aldrich groped an intern after this was reported, was aware while Aldrich got his day with the Stanley Cup, was aware when Aldrich took other jobs, was aware when Aldrich volunteered at a high school. Your best case is that he held his hands over his ears and said I don't want to know. That is not a person I deem qualified to be an NHL GM where he might have to face this situation again.
  2. Honestly. Graham James is the poster child for this sickness. And you still can't get some people to say a word against that monster. It's disgusting.
  3. If your question is how far should be look into serial rapists and child molesters, then the answer is that I hope these reporters never stop digging. Everyone should face these tough questions. The players and coaches on the Chicago teams need to state their case and called out for obvious lies. The culture is sick and broken when we are protecting the abusers and not the abused. This is how you try to change it and make people less likely to cover things up next time a pervert sneaks his way into a locker room.
  4. An investigation has been done and the facts are there for you to read. "cancel culture" is a phrase parroted by people who don't think should be held accountable for their actions.
  5. Because offensive production across the league is way down….which is the issue we’re discussing….
  6. Ok, well, we just have a major philosophical difference, then I feel that, for the vast majority of people, offence is king. Especially for the casual fan. Somehow, someway. The cfl needs to improve their QB talent.
  7. It really seems like you’re getting defensive- like I’m trying to attack the league or something. So if I’m saying any of this poorly, please excuse me. im just trying to discuss what I think to be an important issue. I certainly don’t have the answer to something that has plagued our league for years. The NFL is a huge part of the problem. They’re recognizing that short athletic QBs can be effective. They’re expanding the practice rosters and allowing players to stay on them longer. In the time they’ve been doing that, we’ve seen less talent come North.
  8. I think I figured that out too one time and was momentarily horrified. but it’s Knuckles.
  9. But the CFL has also made rule changes to increase scoring - yet scoring keeps decreasing. Lower than in the “glory days” where defences could do whatever the hell they wanted and concussions prevailed. This is an issue. Despite the fact that is hardcore fans, who talk on message boards in our free time and support the league no matter what, offence drives interest. Quarterbacks who dominate become the face of teams/leagues. It’s important.
  10. This is not about Collaros. This is about the entire league. I’m sorry if I upset everyone by using Zach as an example - I did not mean that he wasn’t deserving - simply that his numbers shouldn’t be this far ahead of the rest of the field. I’m questioning what’s wrong with everyone else - not Zach.
  11. I don’t think those numbers should be far and away the best in the league, no. He should be in the running with a couple of other guys. But his TDs are currently almost double the next guy down. I wasn’t trying to take a shot at Collaros, I’m lamenting the league offence as a whole. This is not a 2021 issue. This is a league problem that’s been trending for years. Ive been thinking Ming this for a while and a couple articles have come out recently that describe the same issue. Do you really feel offences are performing as effectively as they used to?
  12. Yeah, the fact that Collaros is the unquestioned MVP and our offence is the top of the league is the problem. I love our team - but these should not be league leading numbers on the offensive side of the ball.
  13. 3down has a similar article. I honestly agree. The all-star QBs the league had are aging out and we've yet to replace them. We continually ***** about the short-screen game that Fajardo plays, but who is the guy that can drive a passing attack like Khari or Calvillio? They don't exist anymore. When the Bombers try to run a hurry up play, they're stopped by refs who don't set the ball for a minute+ https://3downnation.com/2021/10/26/the-cfl-has-an-entertainment-problem-and-theres-no-easy-solution/
  14. It's going to be nice to have a year without a cross-over, actually.
  15. I mean, obviously? But I care less about the guys that Lapo brought in and more about the guys that left over the last two seasons before Lapo.
  16. I'm not sure when I said it, but it was sometime in MOS' first three years when I was talking to a buddy and expressed that I really believed Kyle Walters was going to GM us to our next Grey Cup, but I didn't think MOS would be the coach. Happy to be wrong, obviously. Mike is the kind of guy you root for. Bringing up this thread is obviously ridiculous though. That third season was a tipping point and there was certainly other outcomes that would have led to MOS being let go....
  17. Absolutely shocked (pleasantly so).
  18. Wouldn't the Argos game then compete with the Leafs?
  19. Doesn't matter who is playing the best really, awards and all-stars come down to stats and reputation.
  20. I believe he was moved to the active roster but scratched for the games, so I don't believe he actually played.
  21. He practiced with an NFL team all last year while everyone else was sitting at home. I don't know how they work him in, but I don't think we have to be worried about his readiness to come in.
  22. Love this. Completely agree with Ritchie too. Rust always plays a factor.
  23. Something I read - Our points for are more than double our points against. The last team to do that was the 1997 Argos led by none other than Mike O'Shea.
  24. No one was disrespecting him, lol. Universal love for Sayles.
  25. I don't know if I agree with you, but if nothing else, he is back in the fold and ready to take a spot next season when one of our current starters inevitably move on.
