I was listening to the pre-game before the LDC and Tait and Irving were giving major props to Fajardo, talking about all he has accomplished and what hr had done so far this year...but Doug was adamant that he just didn't see it. He also admitted he could be biased against anything Riders, but damn if he didn't call it.

I appreciate his reporting but yeah....Don't think I'd enjoy (or that he's really capable of) play by play.

Obviously Nichols has now hit the end of the road.

That said, Lapo loves what Nichols does with his offence and brought him to Ottawa to continue doing it.

I personally thought Edmonton would be right up their with us and Calgary this season. I also thought Sask would be on the outside staring up at the three of us.

Question: Is there a difference between an opinion and simply being ignorant of a fact? Or is ignorance, as you say, a wrong opinion? ie. Is the world being flat really an opinion someone can have when they're indisputably wrong?

I'm just straight up confused by this. Why'd he leave in the first place? I know Jacksonville is struggling, but he seems to have done good work with the QBs. I feel like his job isn't in jeopardy.

It's not about ignoring anyone, it's just recognizing that not all prospects work out and we haven't seen it from Strev yet. I think Walters and Danny Mac and MOS know what they're talking about. Every player they bring in isn't capable of being an all star or even a starter. And as much as I respect Booch as a poster, his evaluations trend very optimistic.

I don;'t think that's true. The conversation has just centred around those people - for obvious reasons. I don't know if this was here or in the other forum, but people have spoken of Willie's young family and the experience they have had in Winnipeg as a reason for him to re-sign. That was before NFL interest, of course.

Fair or not, a QB isn't going to have a lot of fans throwing for <200 yards per game.

It's not ridiculous to understand that players are human beings with more going on in their lives than what happens on the football field. Multiple factors will influence their decisions. That's all anyone was suggesting.

I think 2011 is only better if you cherry pick the first 8 games of the season. Everything went off the rails after that point.

That's certainly optimistic given how we looked with Strev as our starter this season.

I'm pretty sure he also refused to play anything other than QB. People are taking about Strev as an offensive player, not as any single position.
