Nicholls has actually won games in this league and thrown TD passes.. i believe he's 5-2 as a starter.. Marve and Brohm as starters haven't won a game yet. They are 0 for... That last game last year vs Calgary, Brohm started, Marve came in when he got hurt... They are 0 for as starters and suck really badly. Nicholls isn't the greatest but he's 10000 x better than both Brohm and Marve combined.

If Buck was an option, they wouldn't have traded for Nicholls. End of story really. Buck is done.

IMO, the D hasn't been the problem recently, the O has been, seriously... It's funny to me how people ignore our complete incompetence on O, well it's not being ignored but... at the same time, It's kind of being glossed over, people actually defending Marve and the bunch there, 135 yards of total O last game, Honestly, that game vs Toronto was lost on Special teams and a fumble by Kohlert... the D played well enough to win, held harris to under 170 yards passing really, Don't think the argos had 300 total yards of O, if our O actually did anything, i mean really, just anything, we win that game for sure. Last game, we had chances, Bucknor interception, couple plays later, Marve throws an INT and Calgary scores a TD. The D isn't the problem, 3 4 sounds good to me tho but the D isn't the issue right now. The O is. They can't do anything really.

Not defending MB but Willy would routinely throw for 300 yards plus... I dunno if it's the play calling, or if it's the QB's really.. I'd honestly say that with the way Marve played last game and for that matter the second half vs the argos, I'm not sure the greatest OC in the history of Football could have done much differently. I get that it's easy to rip the OC and i for one am going to be a happy guy when MB is fired but at the same time, when your QB can't throw more than 5 yards accurately and gets happy feet in the pocket and basically walks in to the opposing teams players, what can you do really. Marve sucked last game, Like honestly, That was Jason Boltus type sucking.

Yet when Willy was the QB and i'm not defending MB's playbook but when Willy was the QB, he'd throw for 300 yards basically every game. Gotta sometimes realize that Marve and Brohm for that matter, they just aren't very good.

Marve is not being punished, he is hurt, several media guys have reported he is hurt.. he has a huge thing on his leg.. he's legit hurt and really after last game, I dunno how anyone could possibly defend Marve anyways, He's been here a year and a half and showed absolutely nothing. The real people who were being punished were people like you and me who watched that damn game from start to finish. Talk about Elliot and all this, well at least Joey showed that he could pass the ball with accuracy more than 5 yards.

Willy. Nicholls and Davis will be our 3 QB's going forward soon enough with Russell on the PR. Marve and Brohm will both be sent packing.

Davis looked very good with Calgary in the pre season.

Nicholls on his way so wouldn't be surprised if brohm is released soon.

Honestly start Brohm. If he struggles go to Davis and then release Brohm after the game. I'd tell brohm this is his last chance to prove he can be a QB in this league. He hadn't started this year yet so...

Actually I agree with you MOS may just go with Brohm they are probably practicing scooping the ball off the turf as we speak. Whole new meaning to hit the turf! Can you say rug burn? Brohm was decent vs Calgary last year until he got hurt. I'm not sticking up for him but really give him the reps and see what he does with it.

I'm wondering if the scouts did bring in some talent to camp but maybe our OC and DC who I'd imagine would have a large say In who sticks and doesn't just didn't give any of them a real chance.

Jets are a draft and develop team, the quicker you realize this and stop trying to trade the prospects we have drafted and are going to be developing the better. Simmonds serves no purpose, Morin sucks. The 1st sure, but... that trade doesn't help us at all really.. it actually makes us worse, eating 2.5 of buffs contract too? Not a damn chance for that package of total crap really.

I'd rather look at Philly or NJ, they have better D prospects than Boston.

I mean really, I would honestly suggest to you that the Def Coordinator had a pretty big say in who was starting and who was cut.

I'll bet Brohm starts and actually surprises some people. LOL. I can see it happening to be honest, Brohm starts and we actually win. This forum then explodes and who knows what happens... I dunno, but i do get the feeling that Brohm will start and honestly for some dumb reason, I don't think he will be as awful has Marve has been but if we lose and Brohm starts, there will be people asking why Marve didn't play even though he basically has looked terrible the last game a half really.

Murphy was here with Mike Kelly... I have a feeling if his last name wasn't Murphy that people wouldn't be so high on him. I dunno man, when he was here lots of pretty ridiculous things happened thanks to him, the whole pacman jones fiasco could be put on him, he didn't really find that much talent for us either.. I'm not sure about John Murphy to be honest, He's a good scout but guess what, so was Joe Mack. People who are wrestling fans will get this one here and i think it's a pretty good comparison Back in the day, lots of people were giving Vince Russo (head writer for WWE at the time) tons of credit for the success of RAW and WWE, well, Vince Russo went over to WCW and people thought he's gonna turn it around there but what happened was he failed miserably.. Turns out he didn't have his filter, in this case it would be Vince Mcmahon, Russo didn't have McMahon in WCW and failed miserable. I have a feeling John Murphy is similar to Vince Russo, Only real difference is Vince Mcmahon in this case is John Hufnagel.

Honestly, Hurl wasn't good for the first game or 2 but he's been better recently, I think peoples expectations for him are too high, he's not the bighill or elomimian type, he's not the henoc type, If you actually watch him on the field, he's generally rushing the QB, It's how Hall is using him, he's not using him as what people would think of as your protypial MLB, he's using him more as a cowboy i suppose, a rover really, he's being used differently than how other MLB's are used, It's more scheme there, I don't think he's been that bad the last couple weeks. I'm honestly finding it hard to criticize the D when the O is last in the league in basically every category. I don't think using tackles is fair here... it's just a stat really. I'm not saying HURL is all world or anything but he's definitely not as bad as some people are making him out to be. He has a role and his role is different than that of your average MLB'r.
