I don't because he's not the one taking penalties. Not sure why it's such a difficult concept to grasp. Yeah he's important but we have lost games with helle playing where the other team has scored multiple pp goalie against us. Saying helle makes a difference is just making excuses for the guys taking the dumb penalties. Worst pk in the league. You can have the best goalie in the league but if you are short handed 4 5 6 times a game... you aren't winning many. I mean really this team leads the league in penalties. I hope Chevy don't think that cuz this team has issues and it's discipline related. The goalie can only stop so many. 30 coaches wouldn't agree... 30 coaches would say the players in front of the goalie needs to stop taking penalties. Funny. Personally could care less if Jets draft Canadian American Russian Swedish Finnish Danish... irrelevant really. Take the BPA and that's what they have done. As for Canada. No McDavid or guys like that makes a huge difference

Jets also have drafted Americans more than Canadians. Seriously. Scheif Petan Morrissey and Comrie are the only jets Canadian drafted guys who played juniors and Lipon I suppose but none are eligible anymore. Last year... Connor an American and Roslovic an American were drafted

I don't see how helle makes a huge difference to the pk or pp or dumb penalties. Last game Arizona scored 2 pp goals. That's the difference in the game.

I doubt it. Our PP and PK would still suck. The goalies aren't taking stupid penalties constantly. It's not a goalie problem... it's a discipline problem

I think they do realize that the team isn't as good as they maybe thought. Reality I think I'd without helle... we probably don't beat Pitt or Detroit or really... any of our recent wins except maybe the ranger game where they actually scored a bunch

The leaders on the team.... Buff Ladd Stuart Thorburn are all repeat offenders in the dumb penalty dept. Can't find the tweet but all 4 lead the team in penalties. Believe it or not but buff has taken the most.... when your apparent leaders keep taking penalties with no consequences.... this is what happens. Time to back up the dump truck and remove some Atlanta trash

Reffing was bad but jets have a reputation for taking dumb penalties so they get no benefit. Here's a head scratcher tho. Thorburn on the ice on the 6 on 5. Ladd takes dumb penalty... rewarded by being reunited with little and wheeler. Myers dumb penalty. Plays his next shift. Sorry but that is poor coaching
