  1. It went from 40 plus to 36k cuz the half time act couldn't play on the field. It's not about not being able to sell tickets. It was about the other 5000 or so temp seats were gonna go where fallout boy played. CFL said no that's where the half time act will be... capacity lowered as a result. Too much negativity. Christ. I swear that some of you are just pissed off all the time. What a life that must be. Complain about every Damn thing. A sell out is a sellout... project legacy probably thinks Ottawa and Hamilton selling out their 24000 seat stadiums is a big deal but..36000... nope.
  2. For a backup who won't play?
  3. No. He's being paid too much money
  4. -2 but windchill factor made it feel like -8 or -11 at times.
  5. Let's just pretend math 36000 people x average tix price of 300 bucks = 10 800 000 I'm probably being a bit conservative in my estimates for avg tix price and attendance is a bit more than 36 K. Throw in the festival stuff and yeah.... huge money. Concessions... man they made a ton. Just off ticket sales to the game they made a huge amount.
  6. They will make a ton. Attendance down? A bit but not nearly as much as some want you to believe. Season ticket holder skips game... irrelevant cuz they already paid for the ticket. Looking at the attendance... throw in the Banjo Bowl where they had a big crowd... bet 26000 or so is the average attendance. Maybe more. They will make money. Lots of money.
  7. Injured QB after QB after QB played a role for sure. Refs throwing flag after flag probably didn't help either
  8. Ottawa was the away team. I think that played a role. The log cutters don't go on road trips with them
  9. Right now. I'd say Pav and Helle. But who knows. Perhaps a dumb team out there wants Pav
  10. They only would have sawed 2 logs off so no big deal. Just a guess but maybe it's cuz the Esks were considered to be the home team and the Redblacks the away team.
  11. Pav had one good stretch to end the season. He's a career below average goalie
  12. Bombers still gonna make a ton of cash off it. From all accounts from the festival stuff to the game it was a huge success. Get some issues at IGF figured out and make it so 40000 plus can go and it will be back again. Makes you wonder what capacity at Ottawa or Hamilton would be tho. Bet it's back here in 5 6 years
  13. No other way to say it... what's happening is society is becoming ... well, pretty much... a bunch of whiney crybaby ******* aka female dogs. Once the year 2000 hit... people have just become easily offended
  14. Personally I don't care what the logo is. It is irrelevant in my opinion. What matters is improving the on field product. It's not gonna stop me from buying a shirt or hat or toque or whatever that's for sure.
  15. I thought it was weird how Brian Williams kept cutting him off and rushing him... I blame him more so then Orridge. Orridge seemed like he lost his voice a bit but I agree Williams rushed him
  16. It's a transformer logo
  17. Looked like tons of people on the concourses during the presentation but could be wrong. Here's some class lol... lawless Was talking to Jones on field 2 minutes after the Esks won and asked about the Sask GM Coach job. Classy Say what you will about fallout boy but the half time show was pretty cool. The anthem singer... my god he was awful
  18. Boxing still exists?
  19. Lots of time to get the ball back tho. Redblacks D didn't step up.Just to add. I think the Esks were the best team in the west and league this year. I'm not convinced Ottawa was the best team in the East. I think they were just the healthiest.
  20. Esks owned Ottawa after the first 7 minutes. 26 - 7 rest of the way
  21. Pav sucks too. Below average nhl goalie
  22. Pav isn't much better than hutch actually. He might even be worse
  23. The Jets were very in it, they had plenty of chances to score, but when you get scored on on your first shot against, yeah that would kill the momentum big time. Hutch had a bad game, he's had about 8 or 10 of them in a row now that are bad... You need your goalie to make a damn save at some point in time, keep you in it, not sure how anyone could defend Hutch's play the last little while, he hasn't been good. If this was community club hockey, sure, but it's not, It's the Pro's and he hasn't been playing like a professional goalie for a while now. Yeah Pardy messed up on the one and yeah one went off stuart but... 1st shot second a goal, first shot 3rd a goal... I don't know how anyone defends Hutch. He was awful, plain and simple, end of story really. Not much more you can really say about how poor Hutch played. I'll just say this last thing, If Hutch played for the AVs last night? we would have won. It's really that simple, he was terrible, he was awful and he has been since the all star game last season. The guy doesn't exactly inspire confidence either, always throwing his team mates under the bus... listen to him after the games he starts and they lose, what he says is unreal... we didn't play good, we didn't do this, we didn't do that... absolutely zero accountability for his own piss poor play. Your goalie is there to make a save, that's his only job actually, to make a damn save. Hutch hasn't been doing that for a long while. Just cuz he had 1 good game against Chicago a while back, doesn't change the fact that he's sucked since the all star break. This is Hutch's chance, right now, this is his chance, PAV is out until January or Feb... this is Hutch's chance to prove he is an NHL calibre starting goaltender... but right now, what he's showing is that.... he's not even a capable back-up.
  24. You never know what armia could do with Ehlers and Burmi. Hutch has been pretty awful since the all star break last year actually. Just looks lost. No confidence. Big rebounds always. Fighting the puck big time. Always losing his stick too. He had a very good 20 games to start his career but since then he's been pretty bad. He needs to make a save or 2 at times like the other goalie did tonight. He didn't. 833 save percentage tonight. That's pretty Damn awful. The first goal... no chance. The others tho... especially the 4th goal against him.... Weak and a huge momentum killer to boot He's a below average goalie like pav. With average goaltending we probably win thus game. Not sure helle should have started but... he should next game for sure.
  25. They should try Armia with Ehlers and Burmi. Maurice won't tho. Pretty obvious that the players lack faith in hutch
