  1. Man, part of me feels like Jones is going to be a huge failure in Riderville, the other part says he won't be but... I can't shake this feeling that he's going to fail miserably.. He's being pimped so hard by guys like Lawless and Madani, saying he found all these great players, (i'm not even sure how many of those players he found) and pimping him so much.. that he's just bound to fail. He's a good head coach but i'm not sure if he's a good GM... Is he gonna be Head Coach/Gm/DC? cuz if so, that's a lot on his plate. Riders have lots of problems right now, their biggest is their lack of Canadian talent, I'm not sure that's fixable in 1` or 2 seasons.
  2. O'shea and Lapolice worked together in the past did they not? There is some history there... You don't think Lapo who lives here year round and O'shea who lives here year round don't hang out together? LOL.
  3. I don't mind either of them, It's fine.. Takes a bit getting used 2 but... I guess, It's better than the previous one... The CFL site at least.. I kind of liked the bombers old site better tho.
  4. My guess is Enstrom will be traded, he's the highest paid Jet and he just can't be making that kind of money. Enstrom will be moved this season or during the off-season, Buff will most likely be traded... Hamonic? I'm not sure a deal is there unless a 3rd team is involved, some talk LA has interest in Buff, perhaps they trade us a Muzzin type and then we move him to NYI for Hamonic but that's really the only way i see Hamonic ending up a JET... if a 3rd team is involved. Jets aren't gonna trade Trouba, doubt they will trade Myers, and Buff is probably as good as gone... You can't tie up half your capspace in D men, that's crazy talk really Scheif will get the long term deal, Trouba will get a bridge deal, Lowry? They will have a decision to make on him, Personally, I think he's probably a very good 4th liner but I'm not sure due to his lack of scoring ability if he's anything more than that.
  5. O'shea said when they fired MB that the new OC and himself will pick who the O assistants are.
  6. Maas will be Esks head coach. I'd imagine the bombers will get Jones Jackson or Lapolice. Preference is probably lapolice out of those 3. He's a good coordinator. Just not a good head coach. Sask O was pretty good with him in charge
  7. Did the wins in the Central help us last year? We got in by 1 or 2 points. So yup. Every win counts. Bigger against your own division tho
  8. Hutch was good. Buy 2nd goal was S A W F T SAWFT
  9. Agreed frosty. Apparently you are allowed to do that in your own zone tho. What a moment tho. A woman beater in hull applauding kane.
  10. Jussi started. Says all you need to know. Moose aren't good. Accept it lol
  11. Finnish newspaper said earlier he'd be playing but have now said he won't be. Would love to see what he can do
  12. Go with Hutch... It's Chicago and a back to back, less than 24 hours after finishing the game last night.. Hutch needs to play. Some talk that Armia will be playing tonight, Peluso apparently not gonna be dressed.
  13. Man, it's unfortunate for sure but... what is known about concussions and brain injuries now a days, Well, it wasn't back then... It's crazy but all this concussion talk, it really is fairly new, I'm not sure if it's been even 10 years, Maybe but... I'm not even sure if it's been around for 10 years yet.. I feel for these guys but... man, the one thing i will say is... in sports, there are risks and i think you know the risks going in to it, If you don't think theres a risk playing a sport, well you are crazy... I played hockey and even soccer when i was younger and the one thing my parents asked me, even when i was younger, they said, you know, you could get hurt playing right? I said yeah, i know, but it's fun so whatever. I've had a couple concussions over the years and you know what, if i had to go back in time and play hockey or soccer again, i would. It's the risks you take, this is sad stuff but what can you do really when the side effects of concussions and brain injuries and things of that nature really weren't known back then and really only known until pretty much very recently. I mean, did some of these guys even wear helmets? I'm being serious, or were the helmets just made of leather or something, it wasn't like today that's for sure. Sports man, Fun stuff but no doubt, you can get hurt and everybody knows that, now more than ever. It's too bad that they didn't have the technology or the expertise 50 years ago....
  14. LOL. Peluso and Thorburn were taking rotating stupid moron selfish idiot penalties for a point last night, Peluso should sit tonight and Armia should dress, that was just a dumb dumb penalty he took, really it was just an awful shift... gives the puck away at the Caps blue line... gets mad, takes a dumb penalty that is totally avoidable, Caps score. Peluso should sit tonight... Thorburn? My god, how many penalties does he take a game, he should not be playing on the third line.. 4th line center? lol, Copp is the best player on that line by far... Armia is a winger, he's a RW actually. Today is the perfect time to play him and sit peluso... move thorburn to the 4th line Lowry,Copp,Thorburn Ehlers,Burmi,Armia or Armia,Burmi,Ehlers. Irrelevant really where the guy plays but it has to be one of the wings Time for Maurice to send a message to these plugs and that's what they are, they are plugs, they are non skilled plugs who basically, if they don't take a penalty, that's a good game for them.. If they do, and yesterday both took dumb dumb penalties, they should sit the next game. Send a message that these selfish penalties are unacceptable. And that's what those penalties were to Peluso especially and definitely the one to Thorburn near the Caps bench was just selfish and dumb, both those penalties cost the team. And the worst part about Peluso penalty and I suppose context is important but to the viewer at home on TV or in person at the game, they cut to peluso on the bench after the caps scored, after he got back to the bench, he sat down next to lowry and they were both showing laughing and smiling about something. Unacceptable. People talk about bomber players on the sidelines laughing and joking around when losing and say it's unacceptable... well, What Peluso and Lowry were doing after the Caps scored on Peluso's penalty, was ridiculous.
  15. Happened in England? Interesting, the reason it wasn't an UZI or whatever was because England has some pretty strict gun laws. But what this proves is that guns, knives, it's really irrelevant... if someone is crazy enough, they will do whatever they want. Makes you wonder if maybe just maybe, it's "ISIS" saying, we don't need guns to do this stuff.
  16. I don't know. But it's pretty rigged for sure. It's the same every year... Postma and Chiarot also "won" those events last year. The breakway to end it is obviously rigged big time, always comes down to the last shooter... just like last year.
  17. There is some thought that the hardest shot and basically every event besides the accuracy shooting because you can't really rig that is pretty much rigged. Some people who went said they timed postma and he was closer to 15 actual seconds... they said Ehlers was the fastest and it wasn't close... They could be wrong but... The hardest shot one too, nobody had any speed guns in the audience but when most the team shoots in the 80's or 90's and Ben Chiarot of all people hits 107... makes you wonder a bit.... The break away contest... always comes down to the last shooter lol. It's a cool event that i'd probably check out once my daughter is a bit older but... it's definitely not meant to be taken as a real event.
  18. The interesting thing about climate change, while i think it might be somewhat over exaggerated and i just think sometimes some years are just warmer than others or colder for that matter, has to work both ways doesn't it? But I see no issue with them wanting to stop pollution, It might be disguised under the idea that it's a climate change initiative but i really don't think getting rid of the massive amounts of pollution is a problem, It's a good thing. Will it help? It might, it might not, it can't hurt tho.. Climate Change is probably a load of crap when you actually get right down to it, My parents were talking about how when they were kids there was very little snow in December here at times, some years there were tons, some years, not so much... some years it didn't snow until just b4 Christmas. My dad told me it even snowed once when he was very very young in June or July when he was out at the lake with my grandparents... This is over 50 years ago now... so... It makes you question the whole idea of climate change but if they can eliminate some of the pollution that some of these business's produce... i'm for it. I don't think i really believe climate change is real... and i really don't think there is an actual real way to prove it is or isn't... I mean, Mother Nature is a ***** some years and not so much some other years, it is what it is really. Getting rid of pollution or cutting back on the carbon emissions or whatever, it's a good thing but i don't think it's gonna make 2 shits of a difference to what the weather is like. lol
  19. This is exactly it, especially the last part... If Helle didn't make several tremendous saves, we wouldn't be talking about it. In the end, Jets were out shot and in my opinion, out played after the first period pretty badly... I believe after the first the jets had 16 shots on goal and washington had like 4... Jets ended up with like 34 and the caps had like 38... Caps pretty much took over in the 2nd and 3rd and pretty much owned the Jets in OT. Jets scored on their like only shot in OT..Caps had several shots. After the first, the Jets were out shot 34 to like 18 (give or take) Helle was the reason they won pretty much, they played ok, they played a good defensive game, lots of washingtons shots were pretty standard saves, several weren't tho and Helle just made it look easy. He's so good at tracking the puck and his positioning is so good that sometimes, the tough shots look like easy saves too but only looked easy because of his pretty tremendous positioning. Like pretty much. I KNOW RIGHT....... like whatever tho
  20. A bunch of the rider hate stems from the arrogance of the fan base, the whole idea that TSN refers to them as "Canadas Team" is sickening, the fact that most of the fans there tend to ignore that not long ago they were on the brink of pretty much being done for, the bandwagon fans too, the color of the jersey even.. The hype they get from TSN... it's sickening... Is it a valid comparison? Let's see, It's like watching the leafs play the Jets on sportsnet... or any team really play the Jets on sportsnet... But i'm gonna use the Leafs because they are also hyped as being "Canadas team" of sorts.... They hype them so much, they talk about them so much, they ignore the other team, they lose 6-1 for example and they are going on and on about a goal being taken away from them... It's just sickening to listen too and you can only deal with so much as a fan of another team. The other team they play gets very little credit, It's the same with the riders, hyped as Canadas team, over and over and over, announcers pretty much verbally masturbating about everything the riders do while pretty much ignoring the team they are playing... Riders could be down 50-0 and the announcers would still be hyping them, same as the leafs on sportsnet, lose 6-1 to the Jets the other night but... do they talk about the Jets? Nope, they just talk about the leafs.
