Thought I read he gets 100 K today aka signing bonus. 200 K Base. Plus the rest at games 6 12 and 18. 400k year 1 so do the math. So roughly 33000 every 6th game.

Tough call with the rumble. I'm gonna predict Reigns beats Owens and Strowman wins the rumble. Yeah. Not what I'd do exactly but Reigns vs Strowman has been teased

Via Eliott Friedman 18. A couple of months ago, I was at a panel discussion featuring David Segal, co-founder of David’s Tea. One of his philosophies is, “Never marry your ideas.” I thought of that while waiting for the Jets to call up Ondrej Pavelec. I understand what they were thinking: “We made a call and we’re going to stick with it,” which is the way you have to start with these things. Make a decision and give it time.In this case, however, they reached the point of diminishing returns and had no choice but to step back. They had to do it as much to protect Hellebuyck as promote Pavelec. The former is still the goalie of the future, but it’s clear this is not the time to expose him to the wolves. He needs work, in practice if not in games. As for Michael Hutchinson, word is Winnipeg has feared losing him on waivers, particularly to San Jose.19. When it comes to Paul Maurice, my thoughts are this: 2017–18 is the final year of his current contract and I do believe it was always Winnipeg’s plan to discuss an extension with him after the season. Sometimes, the ground shifts underneath our feet, throwing our best-laid plans out the window. In a perfect world, that’s what I think the Jets would still like to do. The organization is loyal and patient. They gave Claude Noel a longer rope than most other teams would have, and you always look for patterns in behaviour.20. One of the reasons I think Winnipeg likes Maurice: He plays their young players. The Jets want to know what they have. It’s not always easy to find coaches comfortable with that, especially since being a bench boss is not exactly a stable profession.

Hes a good TNSE lapdog.

Agreed. Except they have better players than Noel had
-
Or a team in front of him who actually knows what to do in the D zone.

Game 47 : Jets @ Sharks - West Coast Story

Pittsburgh. They were talking to the Jets last year about him apparently. Washington. Tampa. There are teams out there who value defensively responsible players -
Yet Buffalo isn't much better off than we are.

Game 47 : Jets @ Sharks - West Coast Story

There are teams out there in the east who would trade for Toby. Probably would have to take back a cap dump but it's possible -
Hes known to be a hot head.

I think he has and this is a last ditch desperation effort by a coach who knows he's on thin ice. Jets will have to go 24 11 to have a chance at the playoffs. .. that means winning more than 3 In a row a few times. They are finished.

If the Jets actually play better defensively they have a chance but if it's the Jets team who has shown up the last 4 games... they will lose. Pavelec is what he is. Career 907 goalie. Helle this year is 907. Hutch is 894. He's better option than Hutch. But thats not saying much. It's a team game and the goalie will only be as good as the team he plays in front of. I still don't see how he fixes our PP or PK or D zone play or dump and chase O play or lack of discipline or a whole bunch of other issues plaguing this team. The uneducated fan will think... oh we won... it's because pav was in goal... but if we win it's because we were the better team and recently outside of the Calgary game about a week ago... the team has been awful. Maurice has ripped in to them 2 of tge last 3 games calling their play horseshit. If they play like horseshit again... they will lose yet again
-
It's 90 percent on the coaches. They are the ones who design the structure and system and game plan.
-
Because he was waived and unclaimed earlier in the year
-
Because this is reality and if someone was interested in pavelec would have plucked him earlier. It's likely that if he's not a jet next year pav isn't in the nhl. Who is gonna pay him 2 3 million a year for 2 or 3 years to backup?
-
Isles struggling. Fire the coach. We struggling... bring up a bad goalie.
-
Pav or hutch will be traded or sent down... moose signed a guy to a PTO so gotta think one of Hutch or Pav will be sent down soon. Helle isn't going anywhere since they won't risk waivers... Hutch? Who cares. He gets picked up... give pav a 1 yr extension. Philips isn't being called up to the Moose either so this is probably short term.

Fun fact: Vasilevsky from Tampa was 1 of the first goalies to use the new pants earlier in this season, his first 2 games wearing those pants... BACK TO BACK SHUT-OUTS.
