  1. Merry Christmas and a happy Boxing Day (Eh! Oh! Canada go!)!
  2. Just another centre. We got way too many of them. If we win the lottery again, I say we trade the pick for a more experienced player, perhaps a defenceman.
  3. At this rate, Matthews could end up being a Duck. That's an incredibly scary thought.
  4. You guys would hate baseball. Everyone outbids everyone for coaches and players, having no salary cap in place. This fiasco is nothing compared to what happens in the MLB.
  5. Anyone else in the league, if they had the opportunity, would do the exact same thing. People can criticize us all they want, but why shouldn't we hire all those coaches from Edmonton? There is no strict rule regarding this, so there is no reason to complain about it.
  6. Wow, the entire Edmonton coaching staff is headed to Saskatchewan. All of them.
  7. Do the Esks hate the Riders as much as we do?Yes, yes they do. Doesn't everyone hate the Riders? Thanks for the clarification. I just wasn't sure if it was a prairie rivalry or extended further. It's mainly Winnipeg, Calgary, and Edmonton, but most of the league isn't fond of the Riders. Fact: It's because they suck so much. Sadly true this year. Hey Duressler, do you see a bunch of dickhead sk fans also? Or are they only visible to fans from outside sk? Well, out here, I don't see hardly any Rider fans period (even cfl fans for that matter). Online, I've definitely seen some though, yes.

  10. I need a source to confirm this, but I've heard rumours flying around that Edmonton is requesting permission to speak with Maas. The pieces seem to be falling into place.
  11. Couldn't be happier that the game sold out. Goes to show that there's still plenty of interest. Congrats, guys.
  12. The new logo is boring. Not a fan. Not sure that I would say that I hate it though. The old one was way more interesting though and emphasized the fact that we are a Canadian league. The maple leaf is so small on the new logo.
  13. Not sure if they've announced it yet, but I highly doubt it's Hedley since they just did Regina's in 2013.
  14. Yup. I'm disappointed, but it was fun. Still lots of sports to keep me entertained. Go Riders, Broncos, Oilers, Penguins, and Sea Dogs!
  15. Wow, and I thought it was bad last year when Oiler fans were selling resale tickets for $7 let alone actually GIVING money for them. That's sad.
  16. And I am looking at points in the standings, goals for, goals against... all signs of progress to someone capable of looking at more than where someone finished. It is quite clear that there was progress made before Eakins was hired. Then he took a better on paper roster and got worse finishes than before he arrived including worse goals for and against. Try reading and see what the point is. You have to actually understand the situation before you can discuss it, but apparently your level of assessment begins and ends with what position a team drafted in. Cry me a river....the stats that count are W's and L's............they are on pace for a 55 point season...ya, I know it's early but it wouldn't surprise me at all to see them finish in the bottom 5 again...........even with a very good (in my opinion) coach. Progress my azz. Ha, seriously? We're barely even into the season and you're jumping to those conclusions. Hilarious. The fact that we are now competing against teams like St. Louis is certainly progression.
  17. Lol, man. It's only 4 games, and we have not played worse than last year by a long shot. The Oilers actually played pretty hard last night against a very strong contender. Now is not the time to jump to conclusions.
  18. This is the first time since 1993 that they've made it to the AL Championship series. Of course they're excited.
  19. It's almost the end of the season and the end of his contract. I'm glad we got anything for him. Many teams would have just waited until the off season to sign him.
  20. I wonder with the influx of sales lately if they will re add the temporary stands in the north end. Is there time?
  21. Riders lead the league in moral victories... For what it's worth.
  22. Liberals have 120 seats on the poll tracker.
