  1. Hopefully Harris has a little extra motivation to (finally) play his former mates...
  2. my first season tickets were around $80 in the north endzone at Canad Inns... and that was only 2004... perfect for a poor student.... that option doesn't really exist anymore...
  3. A lot of guys do love it here... but if they could play somewhere they hate for 10x the money... they'd probably be there in a heartbeat... I like this one b/c it gives the younger folks a chance to learn about the players of yesteryear...
  4. bearpants thinks it sounds ridiculous when Vidal speaks in 3rd person... bearpants would never do anything so silly...
  5. you clearly said 2nd chance... not 15th chance...
  6. I would like to sign Tory Gurley... and not just so I can wear my Todd Gurley jersey and fool people into thinking it's a Bomber jersey...
  7. Do you know that that was the case or are you just speculating?
  8. I only partly agree with you... Nichols is decent but not great, we will hopefully find an upgrade in the near future... but the glaring need on the offense right now is a difference making receiver... someone like Bowman, Walker, Arceneaux, Eric Rogers, Duron Carter... I like Dressler, Denmark and Smith but they don't change the game the way those guys do...
  9. I met and spoke with everyone's favourite o-lineman later in that off-season (Matt Sheridan)... and he wasn't shy about placing the blame on Picard... But watching that 2007 team... biggest difference between that team and this year's... big, impact receivers... 2007 had 2 or 3... this year, I fear we may have none... also I've mentioned this a few times in the past... loved those retro gold jerseys...
  10. cool band from Vancouver I've been listening to a bit recently... Said the Whale... I think they're getting some national attention these days..
  11. respectfully disagree... I thought it added a nice dimension and an extra thickness that the cover would have been lacking otherwise... all around good cover IMO... I did slightly regret watching this... however I learned something important here.... no rock band is truly complete without a xylophone and steel drum...
  12. I tell this to my wife all the time but it doesn't seem to make a difference...
  13. I bet both Dressler and Smith wish they were 5'10...
  14. it's interesting b/c if you look at the dominant o-line from the 80s, Walby was a monster at 6'6 320 ish while the rest of the guys were hovering around 250 lbs... now if I see a scouting report on a o-lineman and he's under 300 my first thought is he needs to put on weight...
  15. that's probably the best way to go about it.... those guys rotate a lot anyways...
  16. you'd still have to make another adjustment for the ratio if this were the case...
  17. I wonder if Andrew Harris has a high ankle sprain... that would explain the uncertainty of his injury status week-to-week...
  18. Pretty nice barn... great for the city, the team and the league... the only downside is we now have to listen to incessant Riderfan nonsense about this being the greatest stadium in football history and how it makes Jerry world look like a dump...
  19. Hamilton has a powerful owner... not saying that definitely played a factor... but it's hard to ignore it...
  20. I wonder if the release of Outlaw means Makale McKay is closer to signing than we think... (BTW I'm just catching up on yesterday's news, so if he has signed already, please disregard)
  21. Overall health was such a major factor in Ottawa's success last year... they suffered basically no significant injuries and just barely snuck by the Collaros-less Ti-cat in the east final... I think most would agree Hamilton was the best team in the East last year...
  22. hard to completely judge a guy after 1 week on the PR... We may not know til next year...
  23. I would suggest these two comments contradict each other... if "letting up" is subconscious then why wouldn't they do the same thing in a playoff game... I don't think the comeback was a result of letting up... maybe after the first Bomber TD they thought no big deal, we still have a big lead... but when the game got close (30-21) the game was for real again and we still drove and scored and stopped them on D...
  24. I didn't really analyse it too closely... it just looked really close to me... maybe once I start watching NFL again it skews my opinion on what is and isn't a catch... I was also just curious if anyone else thought that way too... If I'm the only one then I'll concede to being wrong...
  25. No one has really touched on the fumble return TD... Am I the only one who thinks we may have caught a break on that play?... it sure looked to be in and out of the hands of Charbanneau (I think that was the receiver) very quickly... I thought it may have been an incomplete pass... not complaining, just wondering if anyone else thought that too...
