So I read this article by Terry Jones: http://edmontonjournal.com/sports/football/cfl/edmonton-eskimos/terry-jones-canadian-colquhoun-makes-rare-start-in-first-cfl-game?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+edmontonjournal%2FBPhZ+(Edmonton+Journal+) and the general premise was confusing... take this quote for example: "Colquhoun....became the first Canadian in a quarter century to start his first ever game in the CFL" there is absolutely no way that is accurate... didn't Chungh (who is obviously Canadian) start his first ever CFL game just 3 years ago?... Technically Jamal Westerman started his first ever CFL game... I thought maybe he meant just for the Eskies but that was never clarified... then I thought maybe it was his first start ever (like he came off the bench in HS and college) but that just doesn't make any sense... Not really sure what the point of this post is... just thought it was an odd premise to write a feature article about...

I think every long time Bomber fan always has that in the back of their mind... this thread felt more like a trash talk thread than anything.... You're forgetting that John Chick was terrible as of last off-season... I mean, the most brilliant man in CFL history and savior of the CFL salary management system deemed him unworthy of his 5-win championship roster... us mere mortals could not possible comprehend that... I disagree... a lot of people are feeding the troll... if the troll is ignored, he will hide under his bridge again

Actually, I do recall that game... a 38-33* loss to an average Montreal team.... but overall a pretty good performance from what turned out to be a terrible team... *yes, I had to look up the score... my memory isn't that good...

Murray-Lawrence would not be replacing Normand... they are completely different players with mostly different skill sets... so we can eliminate that thought immediately... though I would be interested in having him as a back-up RB and returner if possible...

To be honest... I really could not care less what another fan base thinks of our football team... let them think they're better... it makes it that much more fun when discussing after the game...

The Browns had a very good OL for a long time... problem is that is all they had that was good... I mean, do you really think Peyton Hillis could rush for over 1000 yards behind a bad OL?!?

I agree... I commented somewhere that this guy was suspicious... but I'm not going to just assume his allegiances are different than he says... unless proven otherwise

I'm pretty sure the bolded part confirms your original statement... not contradicts it... I don't think Jones is in trouble this year (mid-season)... unless we're talking about a catastrophically bad start... like 0-10 with an average deficit of 15 points, etc...

There was also a money issue (as in BC offered more)... I met Milt some time around 05/06 at a charity event (it was a relatively small dinner so I actually had a chance to have some real conversation with him)... I asked him about Geroy and he said it he wanted to come back but he, understandably, followed the money...

I guess that's the benefit of the week 1 bye...
