One thing that I really should have noted in this discussion about MOS.......once one learns of the greatness of Manitoba, it's an extremely desirable place to live. MOS, like me, is a big outdoors guy....hunting, fishing, camping, etc......and Manitoba's as good as it gets for that stuff.

and don't forget about those "Skeeters".... all good, here in Manitoba... won't give it up

well...in his defence his Kickoffs have been spot on and perfectly placed everytime....and the one convert miss was partially tipped at L.OS

But yes...the field goal kicking has been wayyyyy bad for a pro

Exactly, Boosh... the kickoffs were very good this past game, pinning the Elk deep in their end & played a role in field position which can't be overlooked. The kickoffs are not a problem in my opinion, since #42 has arrived as I have mentioned to my buddy while we are at the home games.

Now, I agree kicking for field goals and the point afters are concerning in the past 3 games: first game (wide right), second game (bang on) & third game (wide left). With Medlock, it was given that it would be successful and rare that there would be the number of missed attempts as has been the case this season.

But, I watched some kind of NFL highlights yesterday, apparently some experienced kickers were having issues (it happens, I believe)...  Now, a few years back, we weren't happy with a certain kicker that was here, he landed up out east, became a wanted CFL kicker, along with numerous try outs in the NFL this year. Now, in the past few days, I'm reading, let's get him back here. Ok, great. Does he really want to come back here, is my first question? And, I'm pretty certain, the call(s) have been made for him and others.

This management group is on top of things and an action plan is/has been worked on and by season end, there will be a solution...

who will fajardo blame when he cant make 50/50 passes now?

With the Saskatchewan media types along with the majority of the their fan base, this thing of endorsing Cody as the "face of the league", its now time for Fajardo to "put up or shut up", its all gone to his head. He needs to polish his quarterbacking skills further, he's only been a starting quarterback for how many games? Not many.  Making him out to be in the same class as the other (4) four starting quarterbacks out here in the western division, well, I don't think so. The others are seasoned. Cody, you are playing on a good team (as much as I hate to say that), try being a part of it.....

This probably belongs in the Sask fan forum, but just needing to say it somewhere....

  4. Just my take on the Argos.

They will win many games because of the the roster they have assembled. This roster is loaded with high end expensive talent from across the league,  that their previous teams couldn't afford to keep, due to their salaries.

Some how, Mr. Shenanigan (Mr. Michael Clemons) has been able to get these outstanding players under contract. Will they come in under the salary cap structure? Yes they will!!! How, who knows, creative accounting, probably or a whole bunch of personal services contracts. But, I'm waiting to see the numbers at year end.

Watching, that game yesterday, less than 10000 in the stands, most of the reporters out there hoping for the 4 down football (hello, Mr. Naylor), wow, wow, nice!!!.

Toronto doesn't deserve that talent, let alone a CFL team. The rest of the CFL teams are playing within a "so called structure". The fans throughout the CFL cities don't need to endure that crap show out of the "Big Smoke", including the fabrication of following the rules as in "player salaries".....

I've been saying it for years. TSN does the CFL no favours, and often hurts the product more then it helps.

I'm going to call it as I have seen it for years.

TSN, really only cares about presenting its material to the Toronto market, the rest of the country is a secondary thought. We all saw it the other day (Trade Centre Toronto) about those flipping Leafs... Case in point, when the damn Leafs play in the west everyone has to adjust to prime time Toronto. This also holds true for Canada's network as well, in this situation.

We all know, Toronto (Big Smoke) dreamer market wants 4 down football. The Bills played there and that was really successful.  Yep, perhaps Naylor should report on that venture. They want a new stadium for the Jays, think about that for a bit.. Yesterdays thing was put on for a reason. The current ownership (Argos front and centre), in my opinion is behind a move to have that 4 down brand football.

Final comment, some of these reporter(s) as well, just don't do a service either to the CFL (wasn't it one of them, during last years draft) who had NFL material in their book case, while providing insightful reporting on up and coming Canadian talent.  Nice way of promoting the game, EH!!!

  6.

Nothing splashy, but if we could:

    - Re-sign Thomas Miles

    - Re-sign Maxime Latour as our snapper or sign Mike Benson from Mtl

    - Sign DT Ryan Brown from Mtl, to back-up Stove

    - With Lucky gone, sign Ricky Collins

The others either retiring or looking for other opportunities elsewhere.

This seems like an agent talking.

Oh, your neighbours and closest rivals?  They're in for him and willing to spend big bucks! Truly.

Well, I was thinking I missed something like Jones was rehired. Heard he was on Pedersen Show the other day and he mentioned, "I want to coach and will be coaching somewhere" and the word "Shenanigans" entered my mind, when I saw, Micah Johnson to Regina and I thought, yep,,, Jones has been hired, this was his first move to please "Rider Nation" and of course, I will do whatever, my way...

I'm having a hard time understanding, Micah Johnson back to Regina. If some of these clubs are working towards the floor of the salary cap, which I kind of thought O'Day was doing based on his media briefs, communications and hard stand on Hughes (but, with these guys, its lip service as well at times), I don't see it. I believe, O'Day is trying to run his team the same way that Huff (Calgary) and Walters here in Wpg.

Just an opinion and how I arrived at my conclusion. Fajardo has a lucrative contract for a guy with basely one year of playing time, there are 5 other qb's in their camp (2 which have been in the cfl, 1 for sure isn't ELC), experienced upper end priced secondary, elite receiving group (well compensated), some o-line guys that are long in the tooth, word is they are holding monies for Judge and others such as (o-lineman Johnson out of Ottawa, for starters) and MJ.   Probably in and around 500 k for that group of 3 - 4... So, I just ask,, how can they bring MJ back and be within the numbers of the cap, that is being talked about?  Oh yes, Creative Accounting....

I'm  crossing my fingers  for one of our snappers (Remple or Latour), plus Miles as back-up and special teams.

Exume and Grant is a further hope!!!

    Glad Lawler is on board....

McCallister and Kongbo are both DE's too. I like Kongbo to be resigned too. McCallister did not accept a PR spot before so you never know if he leaves again if he doesn't crack the lineup.

But again, we have enough DE's already but we need an established DT.

Exactly, that was my thought/suggestion that I had with a pair of Cdn Interior guys  and the rotation idea.. The strength of our Defense is the DE's we have, plus maintaining an Import Linebacker group and Secondary...
