Regular Season Bomber News & Discussion
Fatty Liver replied to BigBlue's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Bob was referring to this coming off-season when half the team becomes F.A.'s, they could potentially lose JSK, Alexander, Jeffcoat, Goosen, etc. so Walters has a huge amount of undesignated money to spend, but he said his number one priority would be to re-sign Bighill. -
Regular Season Bomber News & Discussion
Fatty Liver replied to BigBlue's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Perhaps this has something to do with it, Walters said on the CJOB pre-game show that they over-extended themselves to sign Bighill and were prepared to do whatever was needed to make it work. -
No, he's still on the 6 game I.R.

I really question why Wally or Hervey let so many decent players walk last year during F.A. considering their current luke-warm status, Fenner, Purifoy, Gaitor, Roh, Ronnie Yell, even Chris Williams.... it must have been an ill-advised attempt to clean house and start fresh. I bet Wally and Hervey take turns kicking each other in the nutsack for not finding a way to re-sign Bighill, with Solly out for most of the season.

I probably shouldn't speculate without knowledge of the industry but most likely a large corporation who purchases the milk, processes and packages it, and "brands" it for sale in grocery stores. Economics of scale, it is not worth their while to deal with small producers.

Is it too much to ask to at least post a name, and let us decide if we want to pursue the link? Thanks.

For some strange reason this is the first thing that came to my mind. Peasant 1: Who's that there? Peasant 2: I don't know... Must be a king... Peasant 1: Why? Peasant 2: He hasn't got **** all over him. ----------------------- Arthur: I am your king! Woman: Well I didn't vote for you! Arthur: You don't vote for kings. Woman: Well how'd you become king then? [Angelic music plays...] Arthur: The Lady of the Lake, her arm clad in the purest shimmering silmite held aloft Excalibur from the bosom of the water, signifying by divine providence that I, Arthur, was to carry Excalibur. THAT is why I am your king! Dennis interrupting: Listen, strange women lyin' in ponds distributin' swords is no basis for a system of government! Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony! ----------------------- Dennis: Oh, but you can't expect to wield supreme executive power just because some watery tart threw a sword at you! ----------------------- Dennis: Oh but if I went 'round sayin' I was Emperor, just because some moistened bint lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away! ----------------------- Dennis: Help! Help! I'm being oppressed! Violence inherent in the system! Violence inherent in the system!

H.H. to the impeccable Justin Medlock, the most boring kicker in CFL history. Not only did he put up a boatload of pts. he also assisted on a tackle.

What fer we need a face-mask???

This name sounds so familiar but can't place it, the Bombers had a big DE or OG named Kenny "something" a couple of years back, can anyone remember his last name?

Chris Matthews signs with Stamps

Collins has been available multiple times for bottom dollar, once they crossed his name off the list they weren't looking back. Same with Thorpe. -
Exactly, the same attitudes still exist today in large pockets that have been present throughout their history, the corruption at the top has existed since the very beginning and they're reluctant to make progress to alter that hierarchy because the benefits of this system of government flow freely up. By televising the Kavanaugh hearing they exposed their bones by opening a window into how they select a supreme court judge and low and behold there is nothing to witness beyond naked nepotism at work.

Having spent 5 years living in the USA I'm not convinced it hasn't always been this way. None of the recent events have surprised me much, it's just a bit more repugnant now that their great leader is trumpeting these values openly.

I find this hard to believe, driving around rural BC I come across cookie-cutter dairy operations wherever I go, not saying all dairy farms are like this but there sure are a lot of them and none more than 20 years old. Modern dairy barn out back and a big house for multiple families with a swimming pool up front, always the same layout. I assumed the house was set up as temporary accommodations for dairy workers and maybe their families as they never have the usual accoutrements lying about that go along with a house or a real farm that is permanently occupied by one family. Sure looks corporate to me.

When asked about what they did differently in the Esks, game in his interview yesterday, Hall basically said the players just executed better but it was the same game plan, same number of blitzes were called but better results. https://www.bluebombers.com/2018/10/02/richie-hall-october-2/

Congratulations you've come to the realization that football isn't life or death and life goes on with or without the Bombers, in the end it's just sports entertainment, and following the team is little more than a pastime or a hobby. I grew up a fanatic Bomber and Jets fan but I had at least a 10 year spell of college, career development and chasing various women when following sports closely or taking time out to watch sports or television was not a practical use of time, it only gets worse when you start a family. In time you'll probably settle down, find some spare time and migrate back to what is enjoyable for you. Good luck on your journey.

Good to know, rarely purchase beef anymore.

You're correct, all Frenchmen sound the same to me!

I imagine pigs and chickens are currently being supplemented with growth hormones in Canada as well?

No suggestion of who is replacing McDiarmid, it's a big job somebody has to take over these duties.
-
It really seems like someone has put their thumb down on the creative abilities of this team, since the loss in BC earlier in the season it seems to be a lot of bland bread, no butter.
-
Not for this game, take a look at the brace Bighill is wearing on his arm. I question why he was even practising earlier in the week.

If Demski is indeed out for this game they need to get Flanders on the roster NOW, otherwise there was no point holding him in reserve all season long. He can rotate half-time with Petermann in Demski's slot and Petermann can fill in for Thomkins or Dressler when Flanders takes the field to maintain the ratio.

The Rider D allowed the Bombers 193 yds. rushing in the LDC, that does not sound very good to me, if it happened once it can happen again.
