Booch, you got some 'splainin' to do!
-
They should have been upfront about it or at least provide some reasoning like they did with Thompkins, not being able to get hold of him.
-
Apparently not, I don't think any player enjoys standing on the sidelines watching for seasons on end as the prime of their career slips by. The team needs to own this and re-examine their player management approach, because in situations such as this they're obviously misreading player response.
-
With a hundred bodies milling about, it's somewhat understandable the media did not pick up on it. Question is when the Bombers announced Thompkins as a no-show why didn't they also announce that Foketi was M.i.A.

Speaking of ripped......guess who?

Around the League: 2019 Off Season
Fatty Liver replied to SpeedFlex27's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Mimimum age should have been 50 goddammit! -
I get the impression from his interview that Richardson might accept a P.R. position, pushing a major decision down the road one year.
-
I'm cheering for Santiago, he's built for the CFL game, can juke and jive with the best of them yet has the power to break tackles and make his own holes. Plus he's a regional player, which should be taken into consideration as an advantage when it comes to contract renewal.

You're ******* prejudiced.

Memories of Merv Walker still trigger panic attacks.

Good point, keeping Hecht means somebody else gets cut. If Jones goes down they're probably plugging in Hecht and this could happen at anytime.
-
#1 scapegoat candidate.
-
Hecht is Loffler without the height, literally 7" shorter, I can't recall which late season game he played in but he looked brutal defending against taller receivers. Does this D really need an Achilles heel?

I don't know what possessed me to watch that clip but those kinds of shows just sends shivers down my spine. Joseph Goebbels must be smiling from the depths of hell. Highly, highly, disturbing.

Agree excellent series so far, nice to see the focus on the story and not get tangled up in the personalities.
-
He will probably get at least a half with the first team O. in the 2nd pre-season game to work out the timing.

Sounds like the fine art of snapping the football will be a major consideration in determining who wins the job at center, as it should be. From earlier reports it sounded like Eli was not producing consistent snaps, so it may take him awhile to improve that skill. https://www.bluebombers.com/2019/05/22/coach-oshea-may-22/

The MBB All-Time Blue Bomber Team: Quarterback
Fatty Liver replied to TrueBlue4ever's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
It really is a sad realization of failure when one looks at this list from the perspective of the number of Grey Cup victories earned with the Bombers. -
Until we get to see a televised game it sorta feels like trying to follow the Second World War via Hamm Radio.

Imagine all of the dead wood the US government could free itself of it they would institute a mandatory retirement age of 65 for all levels of government including the president. It'd be a major paradigm shift in flushing away entrenched values and bringing in new blood.
-
For the sake of Nichols mental health they really shouldn't practice that play!

I have to believe that sooner or later we will start to see a decline in A.H's abilities and perhaps it begins to happen this year. It could show up in reduced touches in an effort to better balance the O. or through more games lost to injuries, but inevitably it's going to happen as he can't be expected to perform at super-human levels forever. The timing of his decline would be quite manageable this year with Augustine and Oliveira in place to back him up, transitioning to eventually replace him in a couple of years.

Let's play connect-o-dots. https://www.nationalobserver.com/2019/05/17/news/postmedia-lobbies-get-involved-jason-kenneys-oilpatch-war-room "Postmedia has hired a lobbying firm with close ties to Alberta Premier Jason Kenney in order to participate in the United Conservative Party government's new $30 million public relations "war room" in support of oil and gas companies." Nick Koolsbergen, previously Kenney's chief of staff and campaign director in the UCP's winning 2019 campaign, founded the new lobbying firm, Wellington Advocacy in early May, a few weeks after the Alberta election. Not long after, he filed a report with the Alberta Lobbyists Registry, indicating his firm was hired "to discuss ways Postmedia could be involved in the government's energy war room." A spokeswoman for Postmedia, which operates Canada's largest chain of newspapers including the Sun newspaper chain, said on Friday that the lobbying was related to a commercial division of the media company, separate from its editorial staff. This commercial division produces advertising content that appears in its publications in what is known as advertorials — ads that resemble news articles and other editorial content." https://twitter.com/nkoolsbergen/status/1125433864502087680/photo/1 "Excited to announce the launch of Wellington Advocacy with @reicurran" "Rachel Curran is a Senior Associate at Harper and Associates." https://www.stephenharper.com/harper-associates/ So in essence former P.M. Harper will be working with the Post Media chain to create a ****-storm of disinformation prior to this falls Federal election. Don't be very surprised if the tactics used by Trump and the Internet Research Agency to increase political and social discord among Canadians are used in full force to influence the election. It's going to get ugly.

"Richards was cut due to an injury suffered on the first day of rookie camp in Winnipeg. The injury was believed to be a long-term ailment, leading to his release." Strange, so the Esks. are going to immediately stick this guy on their 6 game I.R.?
-
No Esks. or Argos either, TSN can do better than this. I like watching pre-season games, sometimes it's the only opportunity to see players like Tiny Montgomery in action before they're cut and disappeared.
